We all have a story,
That first cry or first walk,
The way the woman who birthed
Cheered when you first talked.
We all have a story,
How true friends turned out to have lied,
And how those eyes teared turning to
That one friend who never left your side.
We all have a story,
Cuddled up with a cup of tea,
Watching the raindrops tap the pane,
Wondering how the warmth leaves you free.
We all have a story,
The first time he held your hand,
And how suddenly he left thereafter,
Well, maybe it was part of a greater plan.
We all have a story,
How the sun gently kisses your face,
How the little girl's smile lit up your day,
How the day gets better having dreams to chase.
All of us have a story,
Fast beating hearts to scourging pains,
Warm tears to piercing laughter,
The unknown to childhood lanes.
All of us have a story
That we write as we breathe;
This is your story, unclaimed and unwritten.
Be sure to have it complete.
