Many have questioned
the identity of the man
who lives up north.

Who is he? Who is he?

The towns folk are curious
about the man
who holds a leash
of two hunting dogs in one hand
and a club at the other,
always following the Ursa Major.

Rumors of him starts to spread.
"A herdsman,"
the baker whispered to the butcher.
"How curious." the butcher replied.

Who is he? Who is he?

The towns folk are curious
about the man
who drives a oxen
in the Ursa Major,
followed by his two dogs.

Rumors of him starts to spread.
"A ploughman,"
the fisherman whispered
to the midwife.
"How curious." the midwife replied.

Who is he? Who is he?

The towns folk are suspicious
about the man
who met a bear
and chased it.

Rumors of him starts to spread.
" A hunter,"
the blacksmith whispered
to the farmer.
"How suspicious." the farmer replied.

Who is he? Who is he?

The towns folk are suspicious
about the man
who grew grapes and made wine.
He gave some to his friends,
and when their chalices are done,
they fell into slumber
and woke up feeble .

Rumors of him starts to spread.
"A grape grower,"
whispered the painter.
"No, a brewer." the tailor argued.

"A murderer."
said the mysterious man's friends.
"Possible." the beggar said

Yet no one heard the beggar.
The towns folk hated
the thought so much they can't sleep.
So they decided to kill
the mysterious man
to no longer hate the thought
of him being a murderer.

* It is not exactly clear who Boötes really is in Greek Mythology, there are many versions of him either being a herdsman, a ploughman, and many others, hence the nature of this 'poem'.
