"Alexis belly grows larger with each given day. Tonight, Alexis is staying with me. My room is bigger than the one at Alexis' house. I have Full size mattress, so she has all of the moving room she needs. Alexis has taken to the habit of almost never leaving my side. Yesterday, I was siting in marine biology. Alexis bursts in the door with tears running down her face and hugs me for a straight fiften minutes. I whispered in her ear how much she means to me. All of the girls in my class started to "Awe!". My teacher was like "Hey if you need to go, you can. I'll email you he notes so you can study." I thanked her then picked up Alexis bride style and left the class room.Earlier this morning while I was showering, Alexis comes in the bathroom and laughed at my singing. The only time she isn't by my side is when I am is when I am using the bathroom. I was cooking after my shower, Alexis latched herself to my waist. All the way down the stairs and while I cooked us breakfast. This girl has been a blessing. I was watching TV and Lexi was (of course) cuddled up next to me. I kissed her then things changed in my favor. One other thing I noticed is that every time we make out I have become a sore bottom. I love it. The child might turn out like me and that could also affect Alexis. Alexis might have a longer life span. If I were to be taken from this world right now in this moment I would die a VERY HAPPY MAN." - Caspian James
I close my journal and open my desk draw. There is a red velvet case hidden behind my other journals. I open it just to start at Lexi's soon to be ring. This girl is going to be mine officially the day of graduation. Infront of everybody. Every parent, student, and administrator. She still has no idea.
I put the ring away. I head downstairs to see Alexis asleep on the couch. She has my hoodie on with her hood up and cradiling her stomach. Lexi is facing the back of the couch. I kneel next to her and kiss her forehead. Her eyes jolt open and her arms are around my neck before I know it. "I'm cold." She says groggy. I swiftly swing myself on the couch with her wrapped my arms. We are chest to chest. "Better." Lexis says. I feel her heart beat slow down. I slowly drift off with my head resting on top of Lexi's. Her stomach pushes against mine. I drift off.
...
"Caspian. Wake up, Love." A soft voice asks. I smile with closed eyes. "Come on Babe." The voice asks again. The couch shifts and I feel weight on me. I open my eyes and I am greeted with a kiss. I wrap arms around her waist and sit up. Alexis is now in my lap. "Isn't your appointment today?" I ask pulling back where her head is above mine. "It starts at 1. It is 8 now." Lexi explains. She rests her hands on my shoulders. "After your appointment we should go shopping." I say with a sly smile.
"We still have like seven months. This is my first ultrasound." Alexis says.
"It is good to be prepared before hand. We will get gender neutral colored clothes." I reason.
"Okay you got me boxed. Can I have a kiss?" Alexis asks. I pull her against me and kiss her, deep. "You didn't have to ask." I say. "I need to go shower. Please move babe." I say. Alexis shakes her head. I sigh and swing my legs off of the sofa, I support her butt and her back. I get up from the sofa and make my way upstairs. I lay her down on the bed and start undressing. "Wow." Alexis awes, blushing. I shake my head and turn on the shower. The hot water feels amazing.
My hands start burning. I shake them a few times. Then I feel a painful shock go through my body. The pain reaches my head. It feels like someone has a hot branding iron to my head. I scream but hear no noise. Images flash through my head. I see Alexis on a table with a scalpel in her stomach. Another image burns into my head. I see John holding a blood covered infant, a syringe in his hand. Finally I see Alexis with blood running out of the corner of her mouth. She mouths "I love you" and closes her eyes. The pain makes me black out.
