Fire and Roses (Extremely Slow Update)

Being Watched

May was in the Petalburg Forest sitting against a tree enjoying the shade, when her mom called to tell her about Max. After she put her phone away. She got up and started running through the forest. May was a girl with brown hair and sapphire blue eyes. She also wears a red bandana that covers her most of her hair. She was wearing black short shorts and red jacket with a white t-shirt under it. Max had chosen his first pokemon, so May was on her way home to go see what pokemon Max had chosen. She was running so fast that she slammed right into Drew.

"Oof!"

They fell backwards on the ground with Drew on his back and May laying on top of him. There was a moment until Drew asked,

"May, please get off me."

May quickly got off him, and sat on the forest floor watching Drew. Drew was a boy the same age as her maybe a little older, and has light green hair and eyes. He was wearing his usual outfit his purple jacket, his black long sleeve shirt, and his blue pants.

"Well where are you going May?"
He asked as he sat up.

"I'm going home, my brother is choosing his first pokemon."

Drew smiled,
"Well? Which pokemon did you think he will choose?"

May thought for a moment,
"I think he will choose Treeko, but who knows."

May looked at her watch. She jumped up.
"Ack! I need to go!!"

 She started running again.
"Bye Drew! It was nice talking to you."

Drew smiled as he watched her running figure until she had disappeared behind the trees. Drew heard a rustling sound in the bushes right behind him. He quickly grabbed one of his pokeballs and brought out his Roserade.

"Roserade use Magical Leaf at that bush!"

Drew pointed at the place where he heard the noise. As Roserade launched the Magical Leaf. A Cacturne jumped out of the bush. It cried its pokemon cry,

"CACTURNE!"

Drew told Roserade to stop attacking. He knew whose Cacturne that belonged to.

"Harley," Drew said. "come out."

The Cacturne had landed next to a tree that was behind Drew. As he turned he saw Harley come out from behind the tree.

"Hello Drew," Harley said in his cute happy voice. "what are you doing here?"

Drew glared at him very annoyed, and asked.

"What are YOU doing following May?"

May had gotten home to Petalburg city, as she walked up to her house. The door opened before she could knock. Max was standing in the doorway smiling at her.

"Come on in May!"

He ran to her grabbed her hand and brought her in. Her mom came out of the kitchen and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Welcome home honey. Would you like something to eat?"

"Sure mom."
May said as she walked into the their living room and flopped on a couch.

"So Max what pokemon did you choose?"

Max pulled out a pokeball out of his pocket.

"Wouldn't you like to know." He said as he was doing his cheesy smile. "I'll show ya on one condition."

She smiled at him knowing what he wanted.

"You'll show me if I let you come with me."

Max was shocked. "H-how did you know?"

"I know my bother very well." May laughed. "Of course I'll let you come with me. So will you show me your pokemon now?"

Max laughed and let the pokemon out. In a flash of light a Mudkip came out of the bokeball.

"MUDKIP! MUD!!" May knelled down to the Mudkip and scratched its chin.

"You picked a Mudkip? I thought you wanted a Treeko."

"I did, but I remembered how awesome Brock's Mudkip was. So I decided to choose Mudkip."

May smiled. "Well I think you made the right choice. He's really cute."

Their mom poked her head out of the kitchen.

"Ok you two, foods ready. Come and eat before it gets cold."

After she ate she went upstairs to her room to unpack her bag. She took the bag off her waist and started to rummage through it. After she took everything out there was a red rose at the bottom. She took out the rose and thought. Where did this come from? Then she remembered her meeting with Drew.

"How did he have the chance to put this in my bag?" She whispered to herself.

After she put the rose in her drawer, she started to feel like she was really cold. As her vision started to blur she started falling to the floor. With a flash her Blaziken came out of its pokeball, and caught her. Max and Mudkip came into the room.

"May? Are you OK?" His eyes widened at the sight of his sister. "Mom come here!, May is sick!"
