April is a small girl who has hair the color of a forest, and has eyes that looked like Crocanaw scales. She was wearing her school uniform. She looked around the corner of the school hallway. There was no one in the there. She turned to her Gabite.

"This is it Sky!" She had nicknamed her Gabite Sky. "This is our chance to escape! I can't wait to go find my bro!"

She was very excited. She had trained her Gible so to evolve her into a Gabite just for this moment! She and Sky crept quietly out of the schools main doors and outside. Once outside she told Sky to use dig. Sky dug a tunnel big enough for her and April to fit through. After an hour. April told Sky to ascend out of the ground. Once out, April looked around to see where they were.

"Looks like we're near Slateport City." Sky looked not very thrilled. "What? Aren't you excited? We're out in the world now! Come on it'll be fun!"

April ran ahead toward Slateport City. Sky still wasn't convinced, but followed anyway. Once Sky caught up with April. She saw April staring in awe at the city.

"THIS PLACE IS SO AMAZINGLY BIG!!" April yelled in joy.

Sky had to agree with April this time. She was right. The city was very big. April grabbed Sky's claw and said.

"Come on, let's go! We need to ask people if any of them know where my brother is."

Sky thought it wouldn't be good to talk to strangers. Especially if you're under the age of ten. Wait even if you're ten you still shouldn't talk to strangers, or even leave your home! Man humans are weird. They give kids my kind that can breath fire, make storms, blizzards, and more! As Sky thought more about this, the more confused she became about humans. When she stopped thinking she saw that April was gone!

"OH NO! Where is she?" Sky said growling frantically.

Sky knew no human under stood her, but she did try to ask them. Though all she got was people running away from her. After a while Sky still didn't find April. She sat down under a tree to rest. She looked up as she heard rustling in the tree. Sky looked up to see a human sitting on a branch. Well, I could ask. Sky thought.

"The girl you are looking for is that way."

Sky jumped in surprise. How does she know I was looking for someone? This isn't a normal human.

April had talked to everyone she saw, some were nicer than others. Even so she knew where her brother was or he's going to go next. She started walking to Route 110. She needed to get to Mauville City which is on the other side of Route 110. After she had made it haft way though route 110, she realized that she didn't have Sky with her.

"Sky? SKY! SKY WHERE ARE YOU?" April yelled frantically.

She stopped walking and ran into the tall grass screaming.

"SKY! SKKKKKKKYYYYYYYY!"

She flopped onto the ground crying in despair. The tears came down her cheeks faster then a pokemon using Quick Attack.

Gabite?

At that sound she quickly turned and saw Sky standing behind her.

"SKY!" She flung her arms around Sky's neck. "I was so scared! I thought you had gotten lost!"

After she calmed down April saw a masked figure standing behind Sky.

"Did you bring Sky back?" April asked, though she didn't need an answer.

"You shouldn't have left your pokemon." The masked stranger said.

April looked down guiltily. She knew what the stranger was talking about. Sky didn't get lost, she ran of not waiting for Sky.

"You're pretty young to be by yourself. Where are your parents?"

"I ran away from home trying to find my brother. My parents tell me I'm too young to go on an adventure. Even so, I know that's not true! Many kids that are even younger than me can go by themselves."

The stranger nodded. "I understand what you're talking about. Though you say you're looking for your brother? What's his name?"

"Will you help me find him?" April asked with hope in her voice.

"Of course, but tell me his name first." The stranger said kindly. "By the way the name's Eko."

"Eko, that's a cool name! I'm April and this is Sky," She gestured to her Gabite. "my bros name's Drew." April said excitedly.

"Well finding your bro will be easy." Eko said coolly.

"You don't even have what it takes to feel. You are only cold and dark." A voice said accusingly.

Eko sat up with a start. She was sweating so hard that she could fill a lake. That voice was trying to get stuck in her head, but she shook it out. She heard snoring next to her. She looked, and saw the girl named April, with her Gabite sleeping in it's pokeball. She got up without waking up April, and walked to the opening of the cave they were sleeping in. She looked at the rising sun. The sad thing was that she really couldn't feel the warmth of the sun. She was a cold demon, or that just was what her dreams told her.

"The sun's warm isn't it?" Eko jumped in surprise and turned to see April standing next to her. "I always thought that the sun happy and never sad. That's why it's never cold."

Eko just stared at April and sighed,

"Well sadly I can't feel the warmth."

"Why not?" April asked.

"I was born incomplete. So I can never feel warmth."

"Oh. Well that's ok with me!" April said, smiling.

April tried to grab Eko's hand, but pulled it away quickly.

"Ouch! Your hand is as cold as dry ice! Even through your glove"

"Well you need to grab it so we can find your bro."

"Hold on, I know what I can do!" April ran back inside the cave, and brought out a blanket. She then started to wrap it around Eko's gloved hand.

"There, now I won't get burned."

"Ok, now grab my hand, and close your eyes." Eko said.

April grabbed her hand and closed her eye's tightly. After a couple of seconds, Eko told her to open her eyes. As April opened her eyes she was filled with delight seeing her brother.
