The princess had been unusually quiet for a few days, Hook didn't seem to mind it so much after all she wasn't screaming at him and he hadn't ended the day with a headache for a few days. However, it was much more fun when everything was a fight and he was tempted to disturb the peace just to get her riled up, but every time they shared a glance her eyes were full of defeat and he almost felt bad for her. The princess had just learned that her father was a murderer and everything she had been told was a lie and Hook couldn't think of a better form of revenge for the King who had taken everything from him. Not only had he stole the Kings only daughter, the princess was no longer interested in returning home. She would rather live out her days on the sea then go back to a kingdom built on blood and lies.
"How many days until we make port?"
Speak of the devil
Hook glanced to his side as Kassidy joined him at the helm.
"Ah, so she does speak. I thought you had forgotten how."
"I've had nothing to say to you." Kassidy replied and walked over to the side and leaned over watching the water.
"4 days." Hook replied to her question.
"I trust you've been keeping my father's men fed?" Kassidy asked.
"Aye, princess."
Kassidy turned around and glared at him, and there it was the spark in her eyes that he had almost missed. Almost
"I said do not call me princess." Kassidy spat.
"Then do not act like one." Hook replied. "Why be so concerned over those men? They lied to you too."
"For fear of their lives. They will likely be killed for treason when they return." Kassidy said.
"Then why am I letting them go?" Hook asked.
"Because you said you would. At least let them die in their homeland."
"Fair enough..Kassidy." Hook said. It was the first time he had actually called her by name. Kassidy felt her lips curl into a small smile and there was nothing she could do to stop it.
"Well, look at that. You can do something with your face besides scowl." Hook grinned and just like that the scowl was back and Kassidy stormed away from him like the bratty princess she still was.

Kassidy paced in the Captain's quarters growling in frustration. She hated that her only solitude was in this room, when Hook was sailing, she hated that she had ever gone to that stupid Tavern that night, but what she hated most of all was that even though the pirate captain had kidnapped her, had her friend killed, and was constantly irritating her, she couldn't hate him. The captains hands were just as blood stained, if not more than her fathers, but he was one thing her father was not. He was honest, he told her the truth when no one else would and even if she wanted to set him on fire, she respected that much about him.

It was a couple evenings later when Hook actually found himself wandering the ship looking for the princess. She had been particularly unruly to him all day, so he ordered her to stay in his quarters for the rest of the day yet when he went to check on her she was not there, he couldn't say he was truly surprised. So here he was, leaving Smee at the helm to track down a princess. He told himself it was to make sure she wasn't roasting his crew with her fire hands or trying to drown herself in the damn sea again. He ignored the nagging feeling inside of him, telling him to check on her just to make sure she was actually okay. He didn't want to give a bloody damn about the princess. Nothing that, that God awful King who took away his Milah, spawned could ever be worth his concern. When he found Kassidy, She was sitting up on the edge of the ship with her legs dangling over the sea, watching the stars. He approached her cautiously, so she wouldn't be started and fall. He rested his forearms next to her and leaned over looking at the water.
"If you fall again, I am not going after you this time." He warned.
"Believe it or not, Captain I am actually an excellent swimmer." Kassidy said not taking her eyes off of the stars.
"Aye, but can you swim faster than the sharks?" Hook asked. Kassidy swallowed hard.
"I'm..not going to fall, Hook. Don't you have a ship to Captain?"
"I do, but, you were not where I told you to stay. If you would just follow the rules, I could get back to it."
"I told you, I don't often do as I am told." Kassidy shrugged.
"I'm well aware." Hook said glaring at her. Kassidy glanced at him and smirked.
"I needed some air. If you wanted me to stay put you should have put me in chains, however now that you know I have magic, you would have found I have ways of getting out of them." She gave him a taunting smile. She was getting just a little too bold for his liking.
"Consider yourself lucky, I haven't thrown you overboard yet."
"You wouldn't do that." Kassidy scoffed.
"I wouldn't?" Hook asked and pushed her off the side of the ship catching her wrist so she was now dangling over the water.
"Hook!" She screamed.
"You said you were an excellent swimmer, shall we test that?" He asked and pretended he was going to drop her. She screeched and swung her other hand up clinging to his wrist for dear life.
"Pull me up!!" She demanded.
"Oh, well that wasn't very nice." Hook mock pouted. Kassidy kicked at the side of the ship trying to climb. She looked down her eyes widened with terror as she saw a shark fin circling just below her.
"Hook! Please!" She begged.
"Please what?" Hook asked and grinned.
"Just pull me up, there's a shark down there!" She said with tears in her gray eyes.
"Ask nicely." Hook said.
"Hook!" She spat. Hook Let his grip slip just a little. She screamed again.
"No! Stop!" Kassidy cried.
"Ask. Nicely." Hook said again.
"Please, Captain. Please pull me up!" Kassidy begged again. Hook pulled her back onto the ship. Kassidy shook with both fear and rage.
"You..Asshole!" She spat at him and went to slap him but he caught her wrist.
" I just let you live. Be grateful. I could have dropped your stubborn ass to the shark."
Kassidy glared at him.
"Learn your place. You have been making demands since you could learn to talk I'd imagine. You are used to people bowing before you, but on my ship, my word is law. I make the demands, you follow them or you can make the sharks happy. Remember this the next time I tell you to do something because next time I won't hold on." Hook said returning her glare letting go of her wrist.
"Fine. I'll just go back to the cabin." Kassidy muttered.
"Oh no. I can't trust you out of my sight. You'll just have to stay by my side for the rest of the night."
Kassidy was not at all amused but was by no means willing to become acquainted with the shark.
