Hook searched the ship for Kassidy, knowing full well it was probably best to give the princess some space after what he had done. But he had went out and gotten some new clothes for her considering his Hook did quite the number on the ones she was wearing. He shuddered at the thought as another memory flashed through his head. He was cruel, he was vicious and bloodthirsty, but to do what he almost did to her, was unthinkable even for him, even if he wanted to hate her for what her father did, no one not even her deserved that. Hook walked into the galley and found Kassidy getting something to eat. Hook cleared his throat. Kassidy turned and looked at him before turning back to her food.
"Captain." She said.
Well, at least she addressed him. Hook approached her cautiously, noticing her flinch when he got too close.
"I...brought you some new clothes. So you don't have to walk around..like..that." Hook said.
"Like what Captain? Does seeing me like this make you feel guilty? Knowing it was your Hook that torn through my clothes?" Kassidy asked while glaring at him.
"I was drunk. That would have never happened otherwise and I am terribly sorry that it did. Please, take the clothes. If they don't fit, take them and exchange them for ones that do, but hurry back we leave tonight." Hook said apologetically.
"I will take the clothes. Because I am cold but do not mistake this for forgiveness. You told me last night I should hate you, Job well done Hook. I do." Kassidy said and took the clothes from him and walked away. Hook felt like he was punched in the chest at her words, why did it bother him so much that she hated him? It should have made things easier.
--------------------------------------------
Kassidy walked into the Captains quarters with her clothes fighting back tears. Her words to the Captain hurt her too. More than she wanted them to. She should have hated him, after everything he had done, she should have despised him, but she still didn't, and she hated herself for it. She looked at herself in the mirror as she peeled off her tattered clothes and replaced them with the new ones, they actually fit surprisingly well. She dug through a chest in the room and found her cloak and put it on She walked out of the Captains Quarters and bumped into Smee.
"Oh, I like the new clothes, Princess." He smiled.
"Thank you Mr. Smee. tell me, how long do I have before we set sail?" Kassidy asked.
"I'd say about 5 hours, If you need to go do something I'd check with Captain first."
"No I don't think that's necessary, I'll be back in time." Kassidy smiled at Smee and wandered off the ship.
"Where is she going?" Hook asked as he approached Smee.
"I haven't a clue. She just said she'd be back in time. She does like her beer, maybe she is going to drink?" Smee suggested. If Hook had to guess that would probably be correct, what better way to forget something than to drown the memory?
"Are you going after her?" Smee asked.
"No, I'm going to give her some space."
"What..exactly happened last night Captain?" Smee asked.
"Nothing that I would like to talk about!" Hook barked. "Any further questions?"
"No sir." Smee said and walked away.
------------------------------------------------------------

Kassidy had wandered around the marketplace for a couple hours just browsing, trying to get her mind off of having to spend the next however many days, weeks, or months even at Sea with Hook. Where else was she going to go? Now she sat at a table to herself in the Tavern on her second drink when someone sat down across from her, He wore a crimson colored coat and had long dark curly hair, and a full beard to match He was definitely a pirate and she had, had her fill of those for quite possibly the rest of her life.
"Whatever it is you want, I am not interested."
"Oh but you haven't heard what I have to say...princess." The pirate said. Kassidy looked up at him and stood up to make a run for it, she was not about to be kidnapped again.
"Sit down Princess, relax I am not here to kidnap you. I give you my word."
Kassidy hesitantly sat down.
"Who are you?" She asked.
"Edward Teach." The man said and extended his hand. Kassidy knew this name.
"Blackbeard." She whispered and shook his hand
"So you know who I am."
"Well, yes, I was taught at a very young age about pirates." Kassidy explained. "My question is, what do you want?"
"Well, there is a pretty penny being offered for your safe return back to your kingdom, however word is, that you do not wish to return to your kingdom. You've chosen the pirate life." Blackbeard smirked.
"I wouldn't say that.. I chose to be a pirate, I just found that maybe pirates are not the real monsters." Kassidy replied. "Well.. at least I thought they weren't." She added with a flash of pain in her eyes but she shook it off.
"What is it that you want..Mr. Teach?" Kassidy asked.
"I want you, on my ship. Simple as that."
"I have no interest in being a prisoner, or a companion for you or your men." Kassidy said.
"Rest assured Princess, you will be no such thing. My reasons are my own, but I can see you are quite unhappy with in Hook's charge, so what do you say?"
Kassidy thought for a moment.
"Hook is not going to just let me go." She said.
"No, not without a fight I'd imagine, but that can be arranged, just say the word. I promise you, no harm will come to you aboard my ship, you can roam freely and do as you'd like."
"Why?" Kassidy asked.
"As I said, my reasons are my own. Do we have an agreement?" Blackbeard asked.
--------------------------------------------------------

"Where is that damned girl we are behind schedule as is!" Hook demanded.
"I don't know sir, I have checked everywhere."
"Did you check the Tavern?" Hook asked.
"No, I will go do that now." Smee said and hurried off.
"Uh.. Captain.." Smee Said.
"Mr. Smee, I thought you were going to check the Tavern." Hook said and turned to see Smee being held with a sword to his throat. Hook growled he knew this was one of Blackbeard's men.
"I believe I've found something of yours." Blackbeard said as he strut onto the ship dragging Kassidy behind him. Hook tried his best to hide his worried expression how the hell had she gone and gotten herself kidnapped by him?
"And you'll be returning her, or facing certain death!" Hook spat.
"No, not quite. I am collecting the reward for bringing the princess home." Blackbeard said. Kassidy glared at him but he winked at her. What was he up to?
"You've gone mad if you think you'll be met with anything other than a noose if you try to return her to her kingdom. They aren't overly fond of pirates over there." Hook snapped. "So you will return her to me, unharmed and maybe I will let you live to see tomorrow."
Blackbeard cocked his head to the side.
"Does..she mean something to you?" He asked. "Has the legendary Captain Hook gone soft..over a princess?" He smirked.
Hook growled. "She is my revenge. Nothing more." Hook said and looked over at Kassidy and saw the brief flash of hurt in her eyes followed by a disappointed glare.
"Give me back what is mine." Hook snarled.
"If you want her back you'll have to fight for her." Blackbeard replied.
"Fine. If its a duel you want, it's a duel you'll get." Hook said and drew his sword.Blackbeard looked back at Kassidy.
"Best stay back, this could get bloody." He smirked before drawing his own sword and stepping forward.

------------------------------------------------

Kassidy watched on as the two men dueled for her, Hooks words stung a little more than she thought they would. She should have known she was nothing more than a plot for Revenge to him, it just made her decision to go with Blackbeard all the more clear. However with the way things were going in this duel, if she didn't intervene, she'd be stuck with Hook and that was not what she wanted. Not anymore. She looked around to make sure no one was watching before she flicked her wrist. A board on the deck rose a little and Hook stumbled backwards onto it. His eyes turned to her, He knew what she had done but she held her glare as Blackbeard held his sword to Hooks throat. He raised his sword and Kassidy flinched. She may have wanted nothing to do with the man but she did not want to see him die.
"Enough!" Kassidy shouted. Blackbeard turned and looked at her.
"There's no need for bloodshed. I will go with you." Kassidy said. "You've bested him. You've won."
"Imagine that. The girl you've taken prisoner has spared your life." Blackbeard grinned and put his sword in its sheath. Hook got to his feet he looked at Kassidy with an apologetic look.
"Right, so I'll be taking what is now mine, and you can live on knowing you've been bested by none other than me." Blackbeard smirked at Hook and walked over to Kassidy. Hook approached and caught Kassidy's arm as she was walking away.
"You don't have to do this." Hook said. "You don't have to leave."
Kassidy pulled her arm away from him.
"Why the hell would I stay?" She asked. Hook's jaw bobbed as he searched for an answer. Why would she stay?
"So be it." Hook said and watched as Blackbeard lead Kassidy off of his ship. Smee approached him.
"Are you really just going to let her go?..with him?
"Why shouldn't I?" Killian shrugged. "Why should I concern myself with one woman when I can have a new one at every port Mr. Smee?" Hook asked.
"But Captain.." Smee started.
"I want the ship ready to set sail in an hours time, Understood?"
"Yes sir." Smee nodded.
"Excellent." Hook said and walked off to the Captains Quarters and slammed the door behind him.
