Backstory: When he was playing DDLC, he somehow got Monika out of the game and now they live together. They are quite happy. Not only that, Malcolm is on a mission to kill Light Yagami. Knowing that he may not return very soon, he wrote a letter to Monika, his younger siblings and cousins respectively and instructed them to wait patiently for him.
