Its Friday. & im sooo excited because 1) i made the dance team & 2) my date with rashawn is today.
My momma yells my date is here. i rush downstairs. & tell mom ill be back by 10. i walk outside & spot rashawn waiting for me.
"You look beautiful " he said gazing all over me.
"Thanks" i said smiling.
he escorts me to his car (mercedez-benz) & opens the door for me. Im thinking 'what a gentleman'.
When we got inside the movie theatre, we sat in middle. there was not much people there. i looked to my left, i see a couple. i look to my right, i see Nathan. Damn it! he was with his homeboys. they was like 1 row away from me & rashawn. i told rashawn i was cold & he gave me his jacket. i put sunglasses on to look unnoticeable to Nathan.
After the movie was over. i had went to the bathroom for a check up. i took off my sunglasses there. when i was done i walked outside to see rashawn waiting there for me.
"You good?" he asked
"Yeah, thanks for checking on me" i said.
He put his arm around me as we walked down to the parking lot.
As we were walking pass a car, a window rolled down & the person said:
"Kayla?"
"Ummm hi nathan." i said
"What are you doing here. i thought you said you were sick" said nathan
"you're sick?" rashawn asked
"Umm nah, nah im good" i said
"then why did you lie to me?" he asked
"because i didn't wanna go out with you." i said
"you couldve just told me that. you didn't have to lie." he said
"she lied cause she doesnt like you" rashawn said
"listen man, you all up in the koolaid. & dont even know the damn flavor now get out my face" he said "Now kayla is that true what he said you dont like me."
"Nathan, i like you but as a brother. you called me your sis the other day so i thought you didnt think of me like that. so i didnt want our brother & sister relationship to come to an end." i said
"Kayla... i love you & i mean that. i love you with all my heart, i would take a bullet for you. im in love with you & i thought of you as my women. you sweet in all type of ways. i fall for your smile. you make my day everyday." Nathan said.
A tear rolled down my cheek as he recited a love poem he made just for me. when he was done, he left. & rashawn took me home. & that night, i fell in love with nathan & i wondered if he still felt the same way after tonight.
