10- Be mines ?

The next day at school. I was thinking how im gonna tell the boy that i picked the other boy.

First block came & gone pass.

At lunch, i saw Nate & he saw me. We walked up to each other.

"You have your decision? " he asked.

I shook my head. "Im picking rashawn & theres a good reason why" i said

"Because you like him more." he said

"No, its because i know in my heart that you're gonna wait for me & love me."

"Kayla...You're right. You love me so much you can read my mind. Just know kayla if this chump ever breas your heart ill be gunning for him. & i will always be here waiting for you cause im crazy in love with you." he said & kissed my cheek & walked away.

Again, my heart shatters by his powerful words of love.

Later on, I told Rashawn i would be going to tge dance with him. He was so happy. I told him to wear a cremè tie to match my dress & pick me up 6:45. I walked off & it went from there.

Today is the big day! The dance has finally arrived. Im standing in front of my mirror with my dress & heels on. I look to the mirror & told myself 'did i make the right choice?'

Momma yelled that Rashawn was here. I came downstairs. Momma td me i looked beautiful & i told her thank you & told her i would be by 10. I walked outside to see rashawn.

"You look beautiful" he said gazing all over me & then escorted me to his car. 

DEJAVU.

Once we got to the dance i saw carline & mari together. i walked to them.

"Hey, you look gorgeous." they said

"Thanks, i try. you guys too." i said

Someone tapped me on the shoulder & i turned around.

It was nathan. he was wearing exactly what rashawn was wearing. he held my hand & kissed it.

"I know im not your date to the dance, but may i have this dance?" he asked so sweetly.

I nodded my head. "Yes"

He escorted me to the dance floor & we were dancing till the music stopped. While we were dancing he kept whispering in my ear... i love you. when the dance was over, i found rashawn.

he said he saw me dancing with nate but he didnt mind. "but now its my turn" he said.

We danced till they annouced king & queen. i always wanted to be queen but i doubted that anybody voted for me.

"And the king is Nathan Vasquez" the girl annouced

"And the queen is Kayla Brown" the girl annouced.

I wasnt suprised if nate was king. i knew he did something to make me queen.

i walked up stage to claim my crown.

Nate walked up to the mic "Look at her. isnt she beautiful like the stars up above."

The crowd went wild.

When we did the king-queen dance,  i told nate you really have a way of words.

"I only speak the right words of love when im in crazy in love." he said.

We danced.

The dance was over nate kissed me good night at the dance & then rashawn took me home.

"I really had a good time tonight. " i said

"Yeah... dancing with nathan." he said

"No you too. I like you Rashawn. But i only picked you to the dance because if i say no you would just stop loving me & i didnt want that." i said.

"Not true. i would still like you. i love you so much theres no words that can explain my love for you. but would you be mines ?" he said

"Yes, i will be yours" i said.

He kissed me goodnight & said "I love You"

i responded "I love you too."
