"Ewwwwwww." Ebony said while passing the girls bathroom. There was dark green and red mush trail that smelt like old gym socks. "What is....  That." Parker said, his eyebrows were scrunched up in disgust, and his tongue was slightly sticking out of his mouth as if he was thinking. He eventually poked at it with his bat immediately pulling it away when we heard a low growl. "Scratch my last statement, what was THAT." We all peered into the open bathroom door. Bethany Birk limped out of a bathroom stall, but she wasn't her normal pale, make up caked onto her face self. She was a grayish green color. And her outfit wasn't that settling either mini skirt and crop top. It may have been what some kids say hip, but it wasn't good for running or the weather. "Ah um guys, WHY THE HELL IS BETHANY GREEN, GROWLING, AND COVERED IN BLOOD?!?" Scott shrieked snapping all of us out of our trance. Parker stepped into the bathroom wielding his trusty bat. "Now listen here Bethy what happened?!" He said jabbing her. "Parker I don't think that's a very good idea, get out of there!" I said panicked, she had green skin, covered in blood, and smelled like death. The only name I could slab onto this was zombie. "Don't worry Neil I'll be fine." Parker yelled confidently not looking back at us, keeping his eyes on Bethany. Smart move. Maybe it was okay if I was in there to give him backup I thought as i stepped into the bathroom.
Suddenly Sherry, one of Bethany's friends, limped out of the stall behind Parker. He was cornered. "PARKER NO LOOK OUT." Me and Rod ran in trying to give Parker support failing miserably as Sherry sunk her disgustingly white teeth into Parker's shoulder. A screamed filled the bathroom and I couldn't hold back my tears. Salty streams were running down my face as I shoved Sherry and her awful bright pink decaying nails off Parker. Rod ran over and kicked Bethany into a stall locking it from the outside doing the same with Sherry as i held Parker. "Parker come on buddy we just got into this new adventure you can't be leaving it so early." "Hey Neil pal it's okay, just take my bat figure out what's going on and let me deal with Bethany and Sherry ey?" I choked back a sob, he couldn't just leave like that not now. With his last bit of strength Parker grabbed his bat and placed it into my hands. "Take it, Run, Don't get hurt, and figure out what the flip is going on." Parker demanded as a looked at him and nodded. "I'll come back for you." "No you won't don't risk the group's safety for little old me. I'm serious." "But Parker we just can't leave you you're our best friend!" Candy whimpered tears welling up in her eyes as she looked down at us. Soon the whole group was cradling Parker saying our goodbyes. This is the last time we'd see Parker, talk to him like he was human. This was the last moment he'd be a human. As we all held Parker, Ebony started humming softly. She was humming the tune to "You are my Sunshine" soon Rod, Candy, Scott, and I joined him. Parker began crying with us squeezing my hand, trying to return our embrace. Rod was the first to get up, not because he loved Parker less than the rest of us but because Bethany and Sherry were clawing and banging against the stall doors. "We have to get out of here before someone else gets hurt." I said mournfully not wanting to leave Parker in this situation. "It's okay guys, go on I'll be fine." Parker said confidently.  "Okay." Ebony said holding back tears. "I love you Parker." I said the rest of the group saying their final goodbyes. I held the bat tightly in my grip, gritting my teeth as I walked out of the bathroom. "Come on guys." I lead the group bat to the woodshop avoiding any sounds and people on the way. "We need supplies, were going to grab and weapons, food, water, and anything else we might need. Got it." Everyone nodded. "Okay, now empty out your backpacks of anything we don't need, like school work." Everyone nodded again, stopping in a nearby classroom we dumped our backpacks out. Scott got rid of almost everything besides, scissors, glue, a couple pencils, his lunch, a water bottle, and some old shoelaces he had just in case someone needed shoelaces. Ebony kept her stickers, lunch, water bottle, and sketch book to write down ideas. Rod threw everything away except, his lunch and water bottle. Candy kept her lunch, water bottle, portable taser, and an extra hoodie she always had in her bag. And me, the only things I have now are my lunch, water bottle, Parker's bat, Duck tape that was suppose to be for a science project, and my pride.
