10. canada

It's been almost two months since I caught my stepdad, or Walter as I call him now, cheat on my mom. I decided to tell my mom about it after a week of thinking about how I should bring the bad news. I ended up telling her with Zion, since his mom was involved, too. She took it pretty hard at first, but afterwards, she told me that she was actually suspicious of Walter. He'd always come home smelling like women's perfume and he always had stains on his shirts that looked like make-up.

Turns out Walter lied to not only my mom, but Zion's mom, too. Mandy didn't know Walter was married to my mom. She had only been friends with my mom for about 5 months at the time, so she had never visited our house and my mom never mentioned Walter. Not by name, at least. Walter, however, knew Mandy and my mom we're friends. We still don't know how he found her, though. He also still lived in his old house, which he had told us he sold. This was probably where him and Mandy would meet up.

Both Mandy and Zion were continuously apologizing to me and my mom, they still are. But my mom and I are very forgiving, especially because Walter basically lied and managed to deceive all of us. After all, I'm glad I found out about this. Zion and his mom are trying their best to restore their relationship and they actually got noticeably closer. And my mom... My mom has just been looking and feeling so much better since she filed for the divorce.

Now, let's move on to the good stuff. I actually managed to graduate high school and summer is finally here! I also decided to take a gap year before going to college. So did G. Brandon, Zoe and Emily all got accepted into college. And Zion... Well, I think it's safe to say we're dating. We went on a lot of dates and we're just enjoying each other's company, taking one step at a time.

"Hurry up! We need to leave in like 10 minutes. We're not missing our flight!" I yell at Zion. He just had to go to the toilet at the airport when he knows good and well there are toilets on the plane.

"I'm coming, I'm coming. I was washing my hands." He said as he walks back to the group.

We're going to Canada! Zion's mom has a mansion in a rural area in Quebec so we decided to spend 3 weeks of our summer vacation there. It's Zion, me, G, Emily, Zoe, Brandon, Austin, Edwin, Nick, Kayla, Jade and her younger sister Jaydee. After Zion and I started dating, I naturally started spending more time with his friends.

Jade is actually Zion's sister, Kékéli's friend and since Jaydee and Zion are the same age, they automatically became friends, too. Brandon, Zion and Austin met each other in middle school. I guess you could say they're like Zoe, G, Emily and I, they just don't know each other as long as we've known each other. Edwin and Nick met Zion in high school and they immediately became good friends. And over past few months, all the little groups of friends basically merged into one big group. I didn't think it was going to work out but it actually did, and now we meet up at least once every week. We also started a group chat which is starting to get a little too active, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it's so much fun but these people talk way too much. But, the more, the merrier, right?

Once on the plane, it's took us about 3 hours to get to Quebec. Our plane took off at 10:50 A.M. and we arrived at 1:05 P.M. At the airport, there were two vans waiting to take us to the mansion. It wasn't a long ride and around 2 P.M we were all gathered on the huge sofa in the living room.

"Okay, guys, quiet please!" Zion says as he gets up to stand in front of us. No one really listens, though. We are all in awe of how big and beautiful the mansion is. "Y'all! Shut the fuck up!" He then yells, causing everyone, including himself, to laugh.

"We need to split the rooms. There's a total of 7 rooms; 3 small ones on the first floor and 4 big ones on the second floor. There's not really that much of a difference in size, though, the big ones just have their bathrooms. So, I suggest the couples among us use 3 of the big rooms." He states. The couples being Brandon and Zoe, Nick and Kayla, and Z and I. Everyone agrees.

"So, now we have 1 big room and 3 small rooms left." He proceeds.

"I ain't sharing a room with Austin, he snores way too loud." Nick says.

"You're sharing a room with me, you idiot." Kayla replied.

"Oh, right." Nick laughs.

"Okay, how about this? Me and Emily, Jade and Jaydee, and Austin and Edwin each get one small room. And we'll have one big room left." G suggests.

"Wait, can we use the big room, then?" Edwin asks with the biggest smile on his face. It's impossible to say no to a smile like that.

"Okay, fine. All the couples and Austin and Edwin get a big room. G and Emily and Jade and Jaydee each get a small room which leaves us with one empty room. Does everyone agree with this setup?" He asks.

"Fine by me!" Edwin answers.

"Sounds nice!" Jade says.

"Yeah, I think we good." Nick adds.

"Okay, now that we got this out of the way... Let's have some fun!" Zion says and everyone gets up off the sofa, grabs their stuff and gets ready to settle in their rooms.

This is going to be so much fun!

A/N: Sorry this part was so boring :-( Since I did a pretty big time lapse, this chapter was mainly an explanation of what has happened and what is going to happen. I promise the next chapter will have much more conversations and drama!!
