"Yo, I'm heading down. Jade forgot her towel so I'm gonna bring her one of mine. Does anyone need anything? Food? Drinks?" I say as I get up off Austin and Edwin's king-sized bed.
"Nah, I'm good." Nick answers.
"Yeah, me. Can you bring me my Twizzlers? I think I left them on the couch." Brandon says.
"Okay. Austin, Edwin, y'all need anything?" I ask and they both shake their heads.
I grab a towel and leave the room to go downstairs. I walk towards the back door and open it.
"I got your towel." I say as I enter the backyard. "Damn, it's cold out here. Why are you still outside?"
"It's okay, the water kept me pretty warm." She jokes as she gets out of the pool. I hand her the towel. "Thanks! Yo, I'm so sorry for making you come out here."
"It's okay, I know you'd do the same for me, right?" I joke and shoot her a playful glare.
"Yeah, right!" She answers and we both starts laughing. "By the way, what time is it?"
I take my phone out of my pocket and check the time,"It's 11:14. You done?" I ask.
"Yeah, I'm done." She answers as she wraps the towel around her body and walks up to me. She stops right in front of me, leaving what seems like less that an inch in between out bodies. She puts her hands on my shoulders, gets on her toes and slowly leans in. No way... Is she about to kiss me?
"Jade, what the fuck?" I say as I push her away before our lips even get the chance to touch. "Is this why you wanted me to come downstairs? Is this why you asked me and not anyone else?"
"Zion, I-"
"No, get the fuck away from me. You know I'm dating KJ. You're disgusting." I state and walk away without looking back. I can't believe she really tried that, knowing I'm dating KJ.
Once inside, I immediately go upstairs, back to Edwin and Austins room. I take a few seconds to catch my breath and hide any of my angers towards Jade, and walk into the room.
"Damn, what took you so long?" Austin asks.
"And where are my Twizzlers?" Brandon adds. Fuck, I totally forgot about that. Jade completely threw me off.
"This fool was downstairs for the longest time and still forgot what he had to do." Nick says and they all start laughing. I let out a fake chuckle.
"Bro, you alright? You seem kinda out of it. Did something happen?" Edwin asks and I shake my head.
"Nah, I'm just tired. Today totally exhausted me." I half-lie. I mean, I am tired but that's definitely not the reason for my behavior. "Okay, I'ma go back downstairs. Y'all really don't want anything?"
