Charlotte Pov
Ouch. I lifted my head, that seemed to weigh a ton, my hands gripped the bed sheets as I kept myself steadied. I wasn't in my room, however, and I didn't even recognise it. Right now though, I don't care, I'm just glad to be awake.
"Good evening princess." Orpheius walked out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist. My mouth hung open at his muscles despite his skinny look - but that 6 pack was real. He closed my mouth with a smirk and I turned away from him, my eyes burned to look at him but I couldn't watch him dress, could I?
"I closed your mouth, I never said turn away."He brought my face back to his and his soft breath tickled my cheeks. Orpheius grabbed his clothes from the wardrobe like I do, dressed in shirt and trousers as per usual. I drooled as he removed the towel and I hesitated to turn away but I couldn't. Wow! Not Smallwood, definitely not Smallwood!
"Still think Smallwood?" He asked and I snapped out of my daze giving him a sarcastic smile and nodding. His hair was wet and he rubbed it with the towel. I took the time to look around his room, admiring the stone structure lit by candlelight and the black fluffy carpet ran everywhere. His bedding was all black, in fact, most of the stuff in the room was black.
"Haven't I got a lesson to learn?" I stood from the bed and Orpheius reached a hand out in case I wobbled but I didn't. He gave a questioning look before slowly walking to the door. He opened it and I walked through, my dress following me and Orpheius not far behind. The world he had opened was un-naturally beautiful. Water brushed against the sand, reflecting the moon in slight ripples and yet there was no breeze. A blue glow surrounded every rock on the wave line and provided no other light in the room.
"Lesson 2." Orpheius stated and guided me towards the water. I noticed the shadows already crawling towards us.
"You need to learn to absorb them....manipulate them." Orpheius moved his shadows in a ball like he had done in the library. He holds his darkened hand out to me, his free one holds mine and Orpheius placed the shadows on my hand.
"What are you-"
"Don't focus on them." He whispered to me and I couldn't tear my eyes away from them. The ball started to crumble before it spread up my arms. Orpheius repeated himself. As the shadows were reaching my neck yet again his hand wrapped behind it and pulled my lips against his. I was stiff at first but feeling his lips mould against mine, I soon kissed back. The shadows retracted back down my arm and spun in a ball in my hand. Yet, he didn't pull away, instead, he pulled me closer and rested his hand on my lower back.
"See, you can do it without even trying." He leaned his head back and looked down at me, a smirk crept on his features. I tried to catch my breath and laughed through it, looking at my hand at the dark shadow.
"If I say I can't control it, will you kiss me again?" I raised an eyebrow and focused my gaze on his lips, he brushed a curl out of my face.
"I'd have to. Who knows what would happen if you lose control." He leaned down again and kissed me softly, his hands moving to rest on my waist. I felt the shadows completely disappear and I smiled against him. I opened my mouth to give him access and he took it immediately, his tongue danced in my mouth, causing me to moan. His hands ran up my back and fiddled with my bodice lace, eventually, he managed to untie it and pulled it loose.
"You want this?" Orpheius asked, breaking our kiss and he couldn't tear his eyes away from my chest.
"Yes."
"Let's go to the bedroom." He held my hand and walked me to the door. I slammed him against the wood and kissed him, wanting more than his soft touch. He fiddled with the handle and manage to push it open. His hands tangled in my hair and we stumbled towards his bed.
