♦︎ Jessie ♦︎
My hand still intertwined with Richie's, I knocked on Allie's front door. When the door opened, there stood none other than Freddie Hunt.
"Hey you two," he said with a bright smile, his whole face lighting up.
I raised an eyebrow, "uhh, hi Freddie. What're you doing at Allie's house?"
Holy shit was Allie having a secret fling with THE Freddie Hunt and didn't think to tell me about it? She was in for an earful.
A small head popped around the corner, Allie's little brother, Danny, smiling up at me.
"Oh gosh don't worry nothing is going on with me and Allie. She's cute and all, but no. I'm just here hanging out with my buddy Danny, isn't that right?"
Freddie smiled down at the seven year old, ruffling his hair. I guessed Freddie was probably babysitting. He was always rather motherly towards his sisters, so I didn't know why it was a shock that he was babysitting for Allie's mom.
Danny furrowed his brow when he noticed Richie and I's intertwined hands. He reached his little hands up and pulled them apart, glaring at Richie.
"Don't touch her. I have dibs!" Danny snapped smugly.
Freddie's eyes widened. "Is Jessie the girl you've been telling me about??" he asked Danny.
Danny shushed him, his eyes widening in panic. "You can't tell her about that stuff, Freddie!" He whined.
I chuckled, looking down at the little guy.
"Hold on, Jess, I'll go tell Allie you're here. Why don't you come with me Dan?" Freddie suggested. Danny shook his head, staring up at me with wide eyes. "I'm okay."
Richie leaned in to mutter into my ear. "Should I feel attacked?"
I giggled, slapping him playfully, "no you idiot."
"Remember, you're mine, darling." His voice was low and husky in my ear, leaving tingles down my spine. I was well aware I had teased him earlier in my bedroom, and I had a feeling I was going to pay for it all through the night.
Freddie muttered a few words to Allie, in which she rolled her eyes, a small grin on her face and muttered something back to him. He kissed her tenderly on the forehead. Allie put her head down before shyly smiling up at him. Freddie smiled softly back at her and she walked towards the front door, smiling at Richie and I. That was supposed to be a private moment in the living room, but I had caught it. I raised an eyebrow at her and she gave me an 'I'll tell you later' look. I nodded and she kissed Danny on the top of the head and saying a quick goodbye before closing the front door behind herself.
"Hey guys," she chirped happily, "Ashton told me that he'll be bringing a plus one, so don't act surprised when there's an extra person there."
I nodded, heading back towards my car and tossing Richie the keys.
"Your turn to drive. I have some stuff to talk to Allie about."
Richie groaned, "girl secrets?"
Allie laughed, "no, not girl secrets. You just can't tell people about it, though."
Richie perked up, "you're letting me listen in on the gossip?" He sounded far too excited about it, and to be honest I thought it was really cute. A goofy grin spread on his face as he hopped into the drivers seat of my car.
"Well we don't exactly just turn your ears off," Allie pointed out.
Richie rolled his eyes, "whatever." A big smile was plastered on his face still, and I couldn't be happier about seeing him happy.
