"Hey you're Allison's cousin right? I'm stiles"the awkward kid introduced himself as I sat at the lunch table
"Hunter"i said picking at my food
"That's a bit ironic don't you think? You're a hunter and your names hunter"he said hinting that he knew I was a hunter
"Yet if it wasn't for me you would be dog chow"i said as I poked at my food giving him a sarcastic smile
"Okay I'm just gonna say it"He said I rolled my eyes

"Why did you help Scott?"he asked me I got up to throw my tray away he follows me
"I figured it'll be hard for Scott to explain why the sheriff's son was torn to pieces quite literally"i said continuing to walk to my locker
"So you're protecting him"he said I laughed and nodded
"Something like that"i said bitter again
"Then what is it?"he asked me
"My dad told me to"i said with a shrug
"And who's your dad?"he asked
"Just think about it stiles who's the only person in beacon hills who knows about Scott"i said he didn't say anything

"it's Derek stiles Derek Hale ya know the guy that stalks Scott 24/7"i said before storming off tired of this guy already

"I don't want to sit with them"i protested as Allison pulled me along
"they have names you know"she said
"Yeah wolfboy and awkward guy"i blurted out she laughs
"very funny"she said I nodded yeah funny i shook my head snapping out if it as she pulls me down next to stiles
"So I hear they're saying it's some type of animal attack. Probably a cougar."Danny said rubbed my temples already getting a headache
"I heard mountain lion."Jackson said at least Danny was much more tolerable
"A cougar is a mountain lion. Isn't it?"Lydia said I sighed and he doesn't pretend to be dumb
"it is"i covered for her
"Who cares? The guy's probably some homeless tweaker who's gonna die anyway."Jackson said cutting me off I grabbed my fork stiles placed his hand on top of mine and cleared his throat
"Actually, I just found out who it is. Check it out."he said pulling out his phone shifting so we all could see I zoned out as I looked at his hand that was still on top of mine I snapped out of it hearing a flustered Scott
"Hanging out? Like, the four of us? Do you wanna hang out, like us and them?"Scott asked
"Yeah, I guess. Sounds fun."Allison said with a shrug she was too innocent sometimes I swear
"You know what else sounds fun? Stabbing myself in the face with this fork."Jackson said
"let me help you with that"i said stiles squeezed my hand probably very aware that I wasn't kidding I would really stab him in the eye with a fork
"How 'bout bowling? You love to bowl."lydia says as jackson smirked my way
"Yeah, with actual competition."he said I saw he acts like he's great at everything
"How do you know we're not actual competition? You can bowl, right?"Allison asked him
"Sort of."Scott said
"Is it sort of, or yes?"Jackson challenged
"Yes. In fact, I'm a great bowler."he lied
"what about you? You up for a game of bowling?"Jackson asked turning to me I raised my eyebrows
"I'd rather poke my eyes out with a safety pin"i said Allison kicked my leg I sighed
"stiles is helping me study"i said
"I am...."he trails off as I gave him the go with it or I'll kill you look
"I mean....I am....we are studying....together.....alone......
awesome"he muttered the last part I gave Jackson a sarcastic smile
