I don't let people in

Hunter started noticing signs of her attraction to stiles. This honestly scared her more than the werewolves. Lately he was all she could think about. She always wanted to talk to him and be around him. He brings out a different side of her. A side that's vulnerable and very open like a book. Even after trying to push him away for so long.

"Hunter!"I jumped at the sound of my name being called. I looked up to see my dad before sighing.

" Don't start"I groaned, rolling over on the couch. He chuckles and sits beside me.

"I told you to get close to him not to fall for him"he said , I sat up glaring at him.

"And here we go again"I sighed, covering my face.

"You didn't deny it, you really like him don't you?"he asked me. I jumped up.

"I can't , that's impossible"I said , shaking my head.

"Is it so bad?"I suddenly heard a familiar voice. I looked up to see stiles standing in the doorway.

"First Lydia and now you"he said, shaking his head before walking back outside. I immediately chased after him.

"Stiles?!"I called after him.

"You know I thought maybe you were different, we were doing so good and I thought maybe just maybe you just might be the one"he said, turning around to look at me.

"You don't understand"I said, shaking my head.

"Then help me understand Hunter?"he said, I looked down and he scoffed.

"That's what I thought"he said before turning to leave again.

"I'm scared okay?! Is that what you want to hear? I'm scared of getting close to anyone, I don't let people in stiles I don't"I told him.

"Well maybe it's time you do, have you ever thought about that?"he asked me.

"You know I was coming to see if you wanted to help me with something but nevermind"he said.

"You don't get it"I said shaking my head.

"When I let people in they get hurt, my mom is not a good person...."he cuts me off

"How long are you going to use that excuse? You're going to be alone for the rest of your life because you didn't do anything about it, you're the only person that can stop her"he said before getting in the Jeep.

"When you figure out what you want, you know where to find me"he said, starting the car and driving off.

I sat down next to Chris and Victoria, it was the parent and teacher conference.

"Allison and Hunter Argent. Allison is an incredibly sweet girl. And quick to adjust, despite all the moving around, Hunter on the other hand is intense and closed off"the teacher explained.

"We know it's hard on them, but, uh, it's a necessary evil."Chris said.

"Necessary or not, I'd be prepared for some - How do I put this? Rebelliousness?"i looked at the teacher, confused.

"We appreciate the concern, but we have a great relationship with our daughter. Very open and honest. The same with hunter"I gave Victoria a tight smile.

" I'm happy to hear that. And let her know that I hope she's feeling better."the teacher said, I looked at Chris confused. My cousin was in fact not sick at all.

"Oh, she wasn't in class?"Chris asked him.

" Oh, she wasn't in school. I checked with the office." God damnit Allison what have you gotten yourself into
