Getting the girls set up in the cabin was probably the most stressful and loudest thing I have ever experienced. Of course the giggles and smiles on their faces made it completely worth it but the screaming and fighting over who sleeps in this bed, or who stole someone's stuff animal or pillow. I watched them all running out of the cabin and out to the dining hall, Eagerly getting to breakfast. I rubbed my temples and sat down on one of the beds and laid back, closing my eyes.

"Quitting already?" I opened one of my eyes to peak at the person in front of me and sighed out, seeing my best friend. "I'm not quitting.. I just got a headache. That's all." Cayden nodded and grabbed the set of keys every counselor gets "the First Aid station as Advil and all that kind of shit, do you want me to take you?" I shook my head as I stood up and followed her out, grabbing my set and putting them around my neck, "I'll be fine, I know where it is." I lied. I had no clue where it was but I didn't want to give her the chance to ask me more questions about Ashton, waving goodbye and walking down a dirt path, I fiddled with the keys reading the labels on each one, memorizing the bumps and ridges on them.

I was ripped from my trail of thought when I had ran into someone and been knocked down. Whimpering slightly at the pain from the headache and now the pain in my ass and hips from falling. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" I was pulled up in a instant by the stranger and picked up like I weight as much as a feather. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking were I was going!" The deep, thick accent rang through my ears like music and brushed off my hands. "No, no, please don't apologize, it's okay, really.." I tried to sound like I wasn't in pain as I spoke and looked up, seeing the piercing blue eyes looking back into mine from the 6 ft something stranger.

"Are you okay? " he asked as he looked over my body for any sign of damage or bruises, I nodded and let out a faint laugh. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine.." I whimpered a bit when I shifted my weight onto my right legand the next thing I knew I was picked up carefully but quickly and walked down another path. Holding onto his surprisingly broad shoulders and trying not to stare, I swallowed and spoke up after what felt like hours, "you don't have to carry me.. I can walk.. Where are you taking me by the way?" He laughed out a breath and shook his head "the clinic and by the way you were barely keeping balance I didn't want to risking you falling again.."

I watched as he spoke and bite my lip, watching the way his lips moved and how the sleek black ring on the right of his bottom lip, nodding and tearing my gaze away. He sat me down on the bench and patted my knee. "Asking again.. Are you okay? Did I hurt you?" As much as annoying it was, I had to admit the amount of care he had was adorable. "I'm fine, I just have a headache" I smiled softly at him and noticed the still concerned look on his face as he gaze at my right knee, guessing he saw the discomfort I had moments before. "I have bad knees, don't worry, they give out all the time I'm like an old man" I told him laughing, him nodding his head with a small smile and walked to the white cabinets.

Opening one of the smaller doors, he easily grabbed a small blue bottle on the every top shelf and a water from the small fridge and handed both to me with a small smile. "I'm Luke by the way.. I'm the lifeguard." Thanking him and taking both the bottles and taking two of the small tablets I smiled, looking at him clearly for the first time. He was attractive, very attractive. He stood over 6 foot easily and had quiffed blonde hair and a smile that was amazing. "Yeah, it's my first year.. My names Ray" I replied as I closed the small bottle of medicine and set it down on the bench next to me. "Ray.." He repeated my name back and smiled, a dimple coming out to show itself as he hummed out, "Beautiful name to match a beautiful girl.."

I laughed as I felt a small blush creep up on my cheeks and shook my head, "Do you always try and charm a girl after you knock her on her ass?" I cracked a grin as it was his turn to blush. "No, no I was just, fine, you caught me.." he laughed out nervously and scratched the back of his neck. Watching him go from his tougher first glance I had seen him turn into a softer and shyer version causing me to smile. I glanced at the clock on the wall and cursed, sliding down the table and stumbling a bit.

"It was really nice to met you Luke but I've got to get back to my cabin.. My friend must be wondering where the hell I am." I spoke not really wanting to go back but to stay and talk to the tall blond a while longer. "Do you need me to help you back?" He said, concern leaking through his voice. "No, I'm okay." I nodded and smiled reassuringly I didn't want him to feel more guilty then he already does. He nodded and popped a grin, the dimple making its presences again. "A couple of counselors are going to be hanging out at the dock tonight after lights out, Why don't you come and bring your friend?"

"Yeah, sure. I'll see you there." I replied smiling and nodding before waving goodbye to the tall handsome blond and walking back to my cabin. The walk back was peaceful, the faint sound of kids laughing and birds made me smile, but that ended quickly when a unreadable Cayden stood in the door way. "Where were you?" she asked, her voice calm and questioning. "I was going to the First Aid station but I bumped into the lifeguard, Luke..And he invited me, us to hang out later.." I watched her face as I finished my sentence and bite my lip. "Luke.. The Tall lanky one?" she watched me nod and let out a laugh.

"He's a loser, he's Cal's best friend, he's harmless.. Now what about this party?" "I didn't say party.." I laughed, "He just said him and a few other counselors are going to hang out at the dock after lights out." I shrugged. " I told him we'd be there so don't go to sleep early." She laughed and shook her head. "I can't believe he invited you.. I sucked Calum's dick last summer and I still didn't get invited to hang out with him and his friends!" I snorted "You're disgusting you know that?" She just laughed and shrugged. "That's why I'm your best friend, Ray."

I was surprised with how easy it was to put the girls to bed, not counting reading the little mermaid to Bella three times or checking for monsters under the twins, Dallas and Missy's beds. Letting my hair out of it's messy top bun, I shook my head and sighed softly feeling the red waves fall down my back and looked over at Cayden, stiffing a laugh as she was torn between which shirt to wear.

"It doesn't matter what shirt your wearing, it's going to be dark anyways." I told her as I pulled on my black Rolling Stones muscle tee and straighten it out at the bottom. "It matters to me! I plan on getting with Calum again this summer!'" she huffed as she smoothed out the front of her pale pink shirt. Shaking my head and pushing my glasses up I asked, "Can we go? You look hot, I promise." "Last time you said that I had silly string in my hair." Both of us laughing at the memory of us in high school during senior year were we sprayed the entire auditorium with the cheap string. "I'm actually serious this time, now come on!"

I laughed and followed her out, locking the door and walking down the path. "So if this is just him and his friends, should I know names?" I questioned not wanting to be an ass when greeted. "Well clearly you know Luke and Ashton." she added a bit of hate on Ashton's name, almost as a warning. "You'll notice Cal when you see him.. The only one you don't know is Michael.. He's the one with the crazy hair, he'll be easy to spot too." I nodded, mentally remembering the name. I followed her to the dock and stumbled when she pushed me to walk ahead, not wanting to seem like she just showed up.

I glared back at her and walked over towards the visible fire and faint sounds of Green Day. I bite my lip, walking up closer and sighed softly when I heard a familiar laugh and a tall figure running towards me. "Hey, You came!" I smiled and hugged him back when I was lifted up. "I told you I would, didn't I Lucas?' He laughed and sat me down and looked behind me smiling and waved at Cayden, leading us over to the fire. "Do you guys want a drink?" He asked as we nodded and thanked him as I took a sip from the beer bottle.

He sat down and motioned to the seat next to him and I glanced at Cayden seeing Calum had alreadly told her to go to him. I sat down and listen to Luke introducing us to the small group of people. I smiled and waved, saying a small hello as everyone went back to what they were doing before. Before I could take another sip of my beer, I felt a pair of lips brush against my ear and whisper, "Ready for an amazing first night beautiful?"
