The Unending Mystery

Chapter 1: The Beginning Of The End (Max's POV 8:15 Am)

So before all this happened I lived a regular life. I had a normal amount of friends and a normal family. However one day everything changed. And I will tell you everything. Alright, it was a normal Monday at school. It was early in the morning and everyone was very tired. So I and many of my friends were safeties(people who patrolled the school in the morning and afternoon and did jobs like raise and lower the flag.) After my morning patrol we got into class. Now this is when things got creepy. Well we started hearing noises in the teacher's closet and when our teacher checked he assured us it was nothing. Everyone was evidently curious. It also had been pouring rain and thunderstorming all day even though the news said it would be sunny. So we had indoor recess which took place in the classroom. And guess what was still happening in the closet, the noises. Now Robby, Dom, Jack, and some others were considered "the cool kids." And what made them so cool was their riskiness. So guess who came up to Connor, Sean, and I during indoor recess. Those three. And guess what they said. "Let's look in the closet." Now Sean jumped right on board, but Connor and I were pretty collected. At first we said no. Even though the aid didn't pay attention we weren't risking anyone screaming "SOMEONE IS IN THE CLOSET." After some convincing and reassurance we said yes. I mean we wanted to be cool kids, too. Connor and Jack held lookout, Sean distracted the aid, and Robby, Dom, and I went into the closet. When we got in the closet there was a million air fresheners and a broken record. The smell was very strong and the record was what played the sound. Now it was so strong that everyone could smell it in a instance and looked at the closet to see us. And I kinda sold out( meaning I told the teachers everything I knew and who was involved.) While we waited in the office with someone watching over us, we could hear the teachers and Board of Education members talking in the office.

And then we heard someone shout "THEY KNOW TOO MUCH, IF THEY FIND OUT ABOUT EVERYTHING WE ARE DOOMED." (Now a side note if you don't know there was once a man in a blue hoodie that had blood on his face and pulled a knife on us. At this point Connor and I thought they were connected. Also everyone had been acting weird in the whole school except us.) Anyway Dom heard this and busted out of his chair and grabbed the teacher guarding us. The people in the office had come out after everyone tackled the teacher and we had no choice but to run. We were running from people with our backpacks and whatever was in our pockets. Now Dom, Robby, Jack, and Sean were really fast. Connor and I were at reasonable speeds, but we weren't the fastest. So we just followed them into the woods. And then everyone split up. All I heard from then was screams and footsteps until I hid under a log. I waited until all the noise stopped. I then called my mom and told them everything and not to call the cops because I was ok and they have to trust me. I just hoped that they trusted me.
