Chapter 15: The Plan in Action
Robby 10:00 P.M.
Ok so Connor made the plan and I think it will work. Sean just knocked on the door, but we only have 5 minutes, top. I hear Dom’s voice so I think he answered the door. I said “Connor hows that alarm going?” “It's going gucci fam. I’m almost done” said Connor. “I found a way in through the roof. You got to climb a ladder and go through a hatch and Somers in the next room over” whispered Mackenzie. “Alright were up” said Connor. I climbed up the ladder without trying to make any sound. The hatch was hidden, but I found it with ease. Next I opened the hatch to see a empty bedroom. Connor was right behind me this whole time and had my back. I trusted Connor. That's why I went on his side. I feel like he's more trustworthy than Max. We tiptoed through the house and than we saw Joey. Connor whispered “I’ll keep lookout just incase.” I nodded. I then walked in and saw Somers facing the other way. I was just about grab him but then I stopped. Somers and I had been friends for awhile. I didn’t want to betray him like this, but I knew what must be done. I realized he was sleeping and he was small, so I just picked him up. I carried him out the door and threw him up onto the roof. I jumped up and extended my hand to him, but he was in the doorway. He then said “Oh… hi Dom..” He then turned around and grabbed my hand. I pulled him up and shut the hatch. I grabbed Joey and shouted “RUN.” At this moment Joey woke up and tried kicking me, but I kept him under control. We went down the ladder so fast I fell like super sane. We all ran into the woods and back to the shelter. I have been torn this whole time and wondering who to side with. I just hope I made the right choice.
