The Unending Mystery

Chapter 2: The reunion kinda (Max's POV 1:23 PM)

We all had our phones and chargers since we were doing an activity at school, but we were to dumb to think to call each other at the time. All I did was look up youtube videos on survival tips and I had started the process of making shelter. I also had a survival kit inside of my backpack from when my family and I went hiking, so wherever I went I used chalk so I could make markers to find my way to my “base.” While I was on a supply run I found Jack sitting there on the ground unconscious. He was badly cut and had bruises everywhere. Now I wasn't that strong and couldn’t pick him up, but I wasn’t far from my shelter and I could drag him. After about 30 minutes I got back to the shelter with Jack and used my first aid to help his wounds. He wasn’t waking up so I dumped so water on his wounds and he shot up in pain.

I said “Oh my god dude are you okay, I found you in the woods and brought you back here. I know it isn’t the nicest of places, but what happened?”

"Yeah man, thanks for bringing me here. All I remember is that I was running and seeing someone that looked like a board member pull something out of their pocket and then boom, I was here” said Jack.

Once he felt better he said “I know a good space to set up a shelter if you wanna check it out.”

“Sure” I said since all I had was a dug out pit.

We carried the supplies long and far until we reached the area. It was amazing. It had a fire pit and a little hut. It even had a system that worked like an electrical outlet. And the best part was that Connor and Sean were there.

“Hey guys” we said in unison while high-fiving.

We exchanged our stories and they talked about how they met each other while wandering in the woods. We got straight to work and were so busy that we forgot about Robby and Dom. Now we were big video gamers and we all played this game called “Fortnight.” The game was a realistic simulator to surviving nights in the woods alone, and the game was approved by famous campers so the strategies were real. This gave us the edge in our survival. After we made beds and fixed up the hut we collected a bunch of wood and sticks for the fire. Finally we had some lunches in our backpacks so we ate. We didn’t eat too much because we had to conserve food. We all called our parents and they answered right away. Luckily they all agreed to not call the cops. There was 8 outlets so we could all charge our phones. Once we were relaxed Sean realized that we were missing Dom and Robby. It was 10:00 at night so we decided to wait until the morning...
