'Butters?'

'Butters??'

'Buttercup???'

'Leo!'

I zoned out in class today. I was staring at you.

At first I was just thinking about you, then I looked at you, and you noticed.

Everyone did.

Mr. Garrison called on me to answer a problem, so when I didn't answer, you tried gaining my attention.

It worked.

And, you knew I was staring.

I blushed, looked at the problem on the board, and answered.

'Smart ass.'

I didn't care what Mr. Garrison had said.

The bell had rung, so everyone was heading to lunch.

Eric started making fun of me for staring, calling me gay.

After a while he even punched me.

You pushed him off of and me and took me to the bathroom. I didn't want to go to the nurse, I'd get grounded if I did.

You helped me get the blood off my lips and asked me if I was gay.

'I-I... no??,'

'Butters. *sigh* Leo, it's ok if you are, I won't hate you. I just want to know.'

I gave you a small yes, looking down.

Could I handle your reaction? I didn't think so.

But I could.

You titled my head up, looked me straight in the eyes, and told me you still loved me and that me being gay doesn't change a thing.

I hugged you, practically jumping on you, and kissed your cheek.

'Thank you! Thank you!'

You laughed and hugged me back.

Leopold Stotch
