Don't talk to me - Chapter 3

Matt's Pov 

I couldn't believe any of this. My wife left. We have being having a hard time. Getting pregnant was exciting for us all in the beginning until we got the bad news. Things were just riskier and I don't think the risk is worth it. I think we will have a family it's just one of those bumps in the road. We will have our happy ending family in no time. 

I got to the house. It's been a while since I was alone coming to work. The Shift was about to start. I had already got a temporary replacement for Gabby. Chout shows up all clear full " what up! 51! who's ready for a great shift!" Boden walks through the common room " Casey... why am I just finding out about Chout being Dawson's replacement now!" I looked at him sensing all the tension " your office..." He nodded " yeah..." 

I got into the Chief's office. I knew this was all out of concern. I sat down " Gabby left..." He looked at me " left? how do you mean...?" I looked at him " she's in Puerto Rico..." He looked at me "Puerto Rico...?" I looked at him " apparently Chief Hatcher approached her about helping out in Puerto Rico and Gabby... she just couldn't walk away from that.. but she could walk away from everything right here..." Boden looked at me " you ok...?" I looked at him " fine Chief..." He looked at me " well if you need a few days to figure things out I get it..." I stood up " I'm fine. i's just like any other shift!" 

I walked to my office. I just needed time alone. It wasn't long until Hermann came alone " Captain you ok..?" I nodded " fine..." He looked at me " so Gabby went to Puerto Rico..." I nodded  " yeah she did..." He looked at me "well when is she coming back..." I looked at him " I don't know if she is..." Hermann looked at me " well I'm here if you need an ear to yammer on to..." I smirked "thanks Hermann!"
