I had to clear some things up. This is our house and our firehouse family. Everyone who walks through those doors and chooses to put their life on the lines is our family. We have no bond like no other. At this moment I knew I couldn't hide anything.

I cleared my throat entering the common room "Ok everyone listen up... first off Hermann your acting lieutenant until further notice..." Hermann looked at me " what happened to Casey...?" I continued to speak "He's taking some personal time... I don't know when he will be back but we will continue as is until he comes back. I'm not sure what is going on or what he's going through, but were going to just do our jobs like any other day..." Hermann Nodded " yes Chief!"
The day went on like I had to... life always goes on....
