~~Travis POVIt's been two months, and there has been no sign of her coming back. I sigh to myself while working on my study. Lately, we have been getting threats because word got out about me turning Abby. We've been on guard and have had 3 attacks, but none that we couldn't handle. Unfortunately, the attacks have become more aggressive and more towards my father. If something happens to my father, then I am forced to marry as soon as possible. No, not like that idea."Travis!!" one of the guards yells, bursting into the room out of breath."What's wrong?" I asked standing up."We're under attack! Only this is much more than we can handle, sir!" He yells as I hear screams from downstairs.Fuck! I growl and run out the door with him following close behind me. My power isn't special. I read minds and that's it. I got the shitty end of the power pool. I growl, hearing that they are in the throne room and going to kill my father."Guard my father!!!! Even if it's the last thing you do!!!" I yell, running off to the throne room and seeing my father."Dad, we are getting out of here," I said, pulling on his arm. No response.He just sits there. What the hell are you thinking?!"Let's go!" I yelled and he looked at me."We don't need to, I called back up," He said calmly. I hear cries and screams of death, and the door opens for the ringleader of the group."Sad, Sad, Sad, you won't even get up to run, you hate your life that much?" He said with an evil grin, he waved his hand, and I slammed against the wall from the witch behind him, and I growled."He doesn't need to," I heard a voice say. That voice, I know that voice. Abby!{{Picture of Maxi Dress at the top and her hair}}All of a sudden, the room goes on fire, and I see her walk in with a very confident stride. She is wearing a sexy maxi dress. Shit, she's got the power if she can set this room on fire. Holy shit, she's gotten sexy too. As she walks closer, she looks at the witch, and she goes down in pain with just a look. After the men, their hearts burst out of their chests, and all that's left is the leader. After about 10 minutes of the witch screaming, she finally checks out, and I fall to my knees."What do you think you're doing?" She asks, circling him. Her hair is beautiful and her eyes... They're purple? I sigh to myself because she is Rare. These creatures are almost extinct, but god, they are powerful, which explains a lot."Killing the king so that puke can't marry his turned pet," He spat back at her, and he turned with her. She chuckles deeply and goes That could scare the biggest thing alive."Well, Nice to meet you, I'm the turned pet, and for so long you're dying to put my friends in harm's way." She smiles, and he goes up in flames.She calms down and turns to me."You okay?" She asks, and the flames die down.All I could do was nod and stare at her. She was beautiful, she has learned her powers, and by the looks of things, she's got it all under control."Well, your father asked me to show up to help, and I couldn't resist him," She says and chuckles, helping me up."You..." I tried saying, but I couldn't get the words out. She came back... Even when I let her go."I came back, your father said I would come back, I just needed to gather my... well, Everything," She said and looked at me."You are staying right?" My father asks, and she looks at him and then back at me."Only if he wants me to," She said. I got extremely happy at that moment and hugged her."Of course I want you to stay," I say with a big grin on my face.She smiles up at me, and I move a piece of hair out of her eyes before kissing her gently. No one knows how amazing it is to feel her lips against mine."I've missed you so much," I said, looking into her eyes."I've missed you too, Travis," She smiled at me, and I was overfilled with joy.It's been a long two months, but I am so happy I have her back in my arms and where I know she is safe.Abby POV~~~Travis. That's all I thought about when I heard my cell phone ring this morning."Abby..." I heard the king say."Hello... It's been a while," I say quietly."I know, and I know this is going to sound rude... But we need your help..." He said hesitantly."Sure, anything, I mean, you did give me a roof over my head when I left a couple of months ago," I said. It's true. After I left to give Travis his space and me my space to grow, the king sent a butler and a lot of money so I could get on my feet and be safe."Abby, you are my son's best friend and mate. I couldn't let you live in a box under a bridge," he chuckled, and I could only smile. Silly old man, but I love him like a father."Anyways, what can I do for you?" I asked because it did sound important."Have you got all your powers...?" He asked, and I raised a brow."Yes... you're scaring me..." I say with some concern in my voice."What power do you have..." he asked."A little bit of everything, the witch I've been working with says I'm a 'Rare' Whatever that is," I explained, and I heard him sigh with relief."How soon can you get here? We got a threat towards me, and I'm afraid my little army isn't going to manage this one by themselves, and I'm afraid Travis will...-" I cut him off."I'll be there in two hours," I say with a straight face. No one will hurt the people I care about. Especially Travis."Hunny, they'll be here within the hour...-" I cut him off again"Make it an hour and a half then, I'm leaving now," I say and hang up the phone. I'll be damned if they get hurt because of me. The flames inside my body threatened to show. Not now, guys, save your energy for the attackers. I got in my 1967 Chevy Impala, yes, the king bought that for me, too. I speed down the highway, and it feels like it took forever to get to the castle. Eventually, I pull off the highway and head towards a single road heading towards the castle.As I slow down to the gates, they're already smashed open, and I grunt and get out. I walk towards the castle, and about 5 people are standing there. The king's army is either inside fighting or dead, and I look at them, letting my seductive side come out. You can tell when they saw me, their eyes were full of lust. I smile at them and think of the lowest level of pain, and as I walk in, they grunt louder as the pain gets worse, and I walk past them. I walk straight into the throne room. Travis is against the wall from the witch. I smile evilly."What do you think you're doing?" I ask circling him."Killing the king so that puke can't marry his turned pet," He spat back at me, and he turned within the circle with me. I chuckle."Well, Nice to meet you, I'm the turned pet, and so long you're dying for putting my friends in harm's way." I smile and I look at him, and I let my flames take over. He goes up in flames.I calm down, and I turn to Travis."You okay?" I asked, and the flames died down.All I could do was nod and stare at him. I have learned my powers, and I've got it all under control."Well, your father asked me to show up to help, and I couldn't resist him," I said and chuckled, helping him up."You..." He tried saying, but he couldn't get the words out.He's probably shocked I came back. I planned on coming back eventually."I came back, your father said I would come back, I just needed to gather my... well, Everything," I said, and I looked up at him."You are staying right?" The king asks, and I look at him and then back at Travis."Only if he wants me to," I said. I saw the excitement bubble up inside of him, and he pulled me in for a hug. I could only hug back, and the warm feeling I was getting, I never wanted to lose it ever again."Of course I want you to stay," He said with a big grin on his face.I smiled up at him, and I got lost in his eyes. He tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear and then kissed me lightly, and I returned the kiss. I've missed him so much, I didn't realize how much I missed him."I've missed you so much," he said, looking into my eyes."I've missed you, too, Travis," I said back, and he pulled me into his arms. I felt so safe and wanted at that moment.I'm never leaving again. That was a big mistake, and now he's going to have questions for me."Can, or even if there are any guards left, can one of them grab my car? That's my baby," I stated, and Travis looked at me, shocked."I bought her a car when she left so she could get around." The king said, and Travis smiled."I will get the guard to bring her in," He said and smiled at me.I smiled at him and nodded. His eyes were full of love, and I kissed him again, and he put his hand behind my head to deepen the kiss."Guys, you can have your little make-out session after dinner," the King chuckled and walked into the dining room. I smile and start walking into the dining room."We will be continuing after dinner," He whispered, and I smiled, knowing that tonight none of us will be sleeping.
