Well, it's safe to say that Chris is pissed at me, but what I don't understand is that why is he pissed at me? Is it because I replied to Cassandra and didn't tell him, or is it because I did it with Evan?
Either way, I don't think it matters that much. So, he's just overreacting.
While we did our report, we silently worked, and he barely spoke two words to me apart from what was necessary. He didn't tease me like he usually did, in fact, he was in a broody mood throughout. I would apologise to him, but I should know what I am apologising for.
Next day, Breanna shows up to give me a ride to school so I scowl at her, "He called you?" I ask.
She nods as I buckle my seatbelt, "Yeah. I didn't ask him why, but I am assuming this still has something to do with what happened back at the dinner?" She starts driving towards the school.
"I am at a loss here, Bri. What the hell is he pissed about?"
She tsks at me! So I glare at her until she starts speaking, "Oh, honey! The guy babied you for an entire week because you were upset over Cassandra and Evan. And suddenly, you make up with Evan, and forget about him completely. You told him you weren't sure about your decision and two hours later you were with Evan, and you replied to her and failed to mention it to Chris. No wonder he's pissed."
Oh.
Now that Breanna has explained it to me, I understand it more clearly and immediately want to smack myself. I really am a selfish person. When we reach school, I tell Breanna that I'll see her at lunch and the first thing I do is look for Chris. But he's nowhere to be found, but just as I am about to cross the hallway, I spot two people by the end of the lockers, tucked away from everyone.
I immediately recognise him, and honestly? I am a little pissed. He told me that he wasn't dating anyone, but here he is, making out this early in the school. Even the taste of my toothpaste hasn't died in my mouth yet, and he's swapping saliva with someone else.
Usually, I would just storm off and leave it alone, because that's what I do when I see Evan and Rose making out, but this isn't Evan, this is Chris! And something about this guy aggravates me so fucking much.
I cough loudly to get their attention, and I notice Chris open his one eye, he sees me standing there, tapping my foot impatiently at the ground. Then, he just pushes Melissa even further into side of the lockers, almost grinding against her. My mouth falls open at that as I stare at him.
What the actual fuck?
So I do the only thing that comes to my mind. I step towards them and reach for his arm, jerking him away from her. When he finally stops kissing her, he turns to me, super annoyed.
"What the hell is your problem?" He asks, his tone seething.
I gulp, "I want to apologise."
His expression immediately soften as he stares at me but then Melissa scoffs, "Really? Are you that desperate?" She looks me up and down, making me frown at her.
