It has been 1 month and 26 days. Tony had been counting. 1 month and 26 days since his son crumbled between his fingers. 1 month and 26 days since he had to say goodbye to Spiderboy. 1 month and 26 days since he had slept more than 3 hours. 1 month and 26 days since he lost half of the world. The world he was supposed to protect. He was living on coffee and determination. All he wanted was his boy. He was 16. He didn't deserve it.
Tony was lying in his bed staring up at the ceiling. He could feel his eyes burning and his lip starting to tremble. He did want this to go on for any longer. He wasn't sure if he could make it. But he thought to himself Peter is coming back. He can't leave.
Tony couldn't lie there any more. He needed to distract himself. Tony sat up slowly and stood up quietly before walking to the kitchen to brew yet another coffee. He was surprised to see that the rest of the still-standing avengers were sitting at the kitchen table quietly discussing something.
"What are you doing?" Tony shouted. At least no one was asleep still. "Are you having a group meeting without me?" He looked at each of the individuals in turn. Here in front of him were the last avengers, the last hopes of the universe. His self, Steve, Thor, Nat, Bruce, Rhodey, Rocket raccoon (a random raccoon who was apparently part of the guardians of the galaxy), Nebula because she had no where else to go (and secretly missed her sister, but would never admit it to a living soul), Okoye and M'baku from Wakanda. The rest were either killed or evaporated by that ugly looking grape, were dead, missing or on house arrest. Nat was the first to start talking.
"Tony we know you haven't slept in about 2 months and because of the rare occurrence that you were in your bed, we decided to leave you in peace." She said calmly. Then it was Steve's turn to explain. "We think we have a plan to bring back everyone who evaporated." Tony's mouth hung open. He had been trying to figure out what had happened and where everyone had gone for weeks, and his team managed to figure it out in one night? Tony figured it was because he was severely sleep deprived. He couldn't wait any longer. He lethargically walked towards the coffee that had just finished brewing, picked it up, took a large gulp of the caffeine-enriched drink and walked over to the table.
"So tell me what the plan is"
