In the band dressing room, everyone sat around in a circle to listen to me, Nigel and Roxy speak. Nigel told them about the fact that we're working for the government undercover, responsible for catching criminals from all walks of life. Roxy told them about the Bandits, they were a group of criminals that have escaped from prison many times in the past. They try every tactic to rob money from people. And I told them about how both Nigel and Roxy got involved into being spies and the rules we had to set.

"Like I said, no-one and I mean no-one must mention anything about the real us. If that is the case, our families and your families could be in real danger. The Bandits already know who we are but Nigel has told us he's kept our families safe from harm. So nothing must be shared. Secondly, just because we've told you who we are, doesn't mean we're going to share everything. We've told you what you need to know so that doesn't mean we'll be sharing our personal details with you."

"I should blooming well think so my dear. A little bit more insanity would be outrageous!" Freddie was still full of life.

"Do we have to sign contracts or something?" John asked.

"No, you agreed to what we proposed so your word is good enough." I replied back. God, I sound like a bloody bore. "And finally, all of you must keep yourself safe as best as you can. Go and stay at a secret place that no-one will know about. I'm pretty sure the press will be getting the gossip in tonight's events which doesn't help matters. All I'm saying is watch your step."

"Come on, you really expect us to believe that you're all secret spies saving the world from the bad guys with your black belts?" Roger exclaimed, thinking he was also funny.

"Then how did you agree with the others to trust us and to tell you everything if you don't believe what happened tonight?" I answered back. Everyone stared at Roger trying not to laugh, even Nigel let out a little snigger. BOOM!

"Ok, fine I admit it. I just want our stuff back so that we could tour again, and record more albums. Let's be honest no-one is getting any younger..." John and Freddie groaned at their fellow bandmate whilst Brian was still trying not to burst out into fits of laughter.

"I just want my stuff back OK! And to meet the girl of my dreams but that's another story!" Roger sat back in his seat, looking pretty distraught. Roxy looked at him, smiling away.

"Is there anything we could do to help? That's if you haven't already got a plan." Brian asked looking at me for answers.

"I've always wanted to be a spy." John said randomly.

"You? A spy?" Roger laughed. "Come on, Deaky. Even Fred would be a better spy than you would ever be!"

Freddie gasped at the drummer. "Roggie, darling, I'm now just going to ignore the fact that you have insulted me because I know that you secretly love me. " Both men laughed.

"Guys!" Brian yelled at his fellow band. "This is serious!" He then looked back at me. "I mean do you want us to be involved?"

"It's up to you. As long as you're well aware of the danger and are prepared to take the risk then yes, you can help if you wish." I said to them. Brian nodded back at me and then looked at his bandmates. They all looked a bit nervous but they also nodded.

Nigel eventually took over. "Ok, so we may see you tomorrow morning. Get some good sleep, I know it may be hard but for now, try to stay relaxed. We'll take it from here."

Roger, John and Freddie headed out the door to go to their hotel suite. Brian came towards me with his hand on his head, looking stressed.

"Have you got anywhere to stay tonight? I could offer that you stay in our suite. We'll have separate rooms for everyone. It's the least we could do."

I looked at Nigel, who had the biggest grin on his face. "Yay, that means we can get to know Queen more! And get their autographs." he whispered to me. Typical.

My room was stunning, it was just next to Roxy's. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I had never been in such a luxurious space before in my life. I had a big double bed and an en suite, with tea making facilities. I was using our equipment, trying to find the Bandits location when I heard a knock on the door. I opened it to see Brian standing there.

"Brian! Oh sorry, didn't expect you to come here, I look a sight. Plus the room looks messy with all the equipment in here." And I'm in my dressing gown, not embarrassing much.

"I'm sorry, it's just I wanted to talk to you. Can I please come in?"

"Yeah, sure of course." I let Brian in and I sat on the bed. He stood there, studying the equipment and then went over to look at me.

"I just wanted to say, you told us about how Nigel became a 'spy' to earn the money and Roxy wanted to work undercover as her mother did. But you never told us the reason why you're working for Nigel."

I stared down at the floor. "I never told anyone the real reason. Even Roxy. Only Nigel really knows but he kept his word to not say anything to anyone."

Brian sat beside me on the bed and held my hand.

"You can trust me. And I promise I'll never tell anyone ever. Even the boys. I promise." I looked at his glowing eyes and felt the warm surrounding he had created. It was as if he had lightened up the whole room.

"Ok. You saved me that night, it's high time I give you something back." I took a deep breath and told him the story.

"Basically, I lost my parents when I was very young, around three or so. I actually saw them lying dead on the living room floor, covered in blood." Brian gasped.

"Even though I was only three, I still remember that same horrible sight even to this day. After living in care, I got told several lies from the carers every time I asked for the truth. Then one day I met Nigel. He said he recognised me from that very night so we met up and he told me what really happened, as I was 16 then and I needed to find out sooner or later. The Bandits used them to steal money from their bank account. Soon after they had the money, they killed them..." I stopped as the tears started falling down my face. Brian gave me a tissue and let me carry on with the story.

"The hatred I had for them soon turned into wanting to capture them one and for all. So after being along for more than 14 years, Nigel offered me a job to train and work with him undercover. He also offered me a place to stay which is how I've been with him for so long."

"Jennifer, I'm so sorry. What happened to your parents was horrible. No three year old child should have to go through that." Brian put his arm around me and held me close. I put my head on his shoulder, still crying softly. "Then what happened?"

"Well that was basically it. Even though I was in the care home, I gave up a lot to go and move in with Nigel. I used to live further up north but I had to move down to Glasgow which wasn't cheap. I gave up school, I left my friends and I gave up playing music which I still miss today."

"Wow, I never knew you played an instrument. What did you play?" Brian suddenly became excited when I mentioned music.

"I played the saxophone for three years before I met Nigel. But then of course with this new 'job', I had to quit. I would give anything to start playing again."

Brian and I talked for hours and hours. I told him stories from my time at the care home, some funny and some upsetting. He told me about growing up with his family, he lived with his mum and dad. He was an only child as well like me so it felt like we had something in common. He told me about the many hours he spent with his dad making his Red Special, using wood from an old fireplace. He then told me about the life he had going to university to study Astronomy and then decided to give it up to play with Queen, saying that he struggled with it at first especially with his parents. This man was sharing with me his difficult times as well as his good times and I admired him for that.
