Chapter 13

Little did I know since then how things began to change for the better. I went with Queen on their UK Tour, so that Brian could get to know Nigel better. It was great to see Freddie, John and Roger again and a strong friendship grew between the four of us.

I found out that Roger did adopt Ben after I gave him Roxy's photo. He was now 2 years old and could speak a few words. He and Nigel bonded like brothers as I looked after them while Roger and Brian played their concerts. I introduced Roger to my friend Megan soon after the Glasgow concert and they've been in a relationship together ever since.

John got married to his childhood sweetheart and invited us all to his wedding. It was amazing. Freddie bought kittens once night and fell in love with them. So did Nigel, even though there were a couple of occasions when he tried to be rough and pull their tails off. Freddie also had a partner that he loved but there were times where he loved the kittens more.

Even though I was with Queen most of the time, I still had my job working undercover. Some of the recruits I trained were awarded as certified employees. I felt proud to see my students grow. I held a day every year, the same day that my boss, Nigel and my dearest friend Roxy died saving lives. It was always a sad occasion but everyone at work also remembered the people they lost that day. I also remembered my parents, hoping they were looking down on me and were proud.

As for me and Brian, at first we took things slow, as the priority was that he could start bonding a relationship with Nigel. He's been an amazing father to that child and nowadays, Nigel cries his heart out when his daddy leaves to play at another concert. On his first birthday, the whole band cancelled arrangements for interviews to celebrate. Brian wrote a beautiful song for Nigel and performed it for us. He also gave him a small ukulele, the one he grew up with when he was a child. Nigel loved the present so much, he plucked the strings and giggled every time he heard a note. Freddie said that he was just like his father and everyone laughed.

Since he got to know Nigel better, me and Brian fell in love all over again. Our love for each other grew stronger and stronger every day. We were together properly as a couple for 5 months before he took me out one cold December night when we were at Hyde Park and proposed. It was the most romantic night of my life. The wedding was also incredible. Megan was my maid of honour and Roger was Brian's best man. Our little Nigel was the page boy and he was at first scared of walking down the aisle with John and Freddie, but we also had Ben as a page boy and the two of them walked together happily. As I stepped into the church, Brian walked me down the aisle. That kiss was our best one, as we both knew we would be together forever.

The speeches were amazing too. Roger's was really funny and had everyone in stitches. Brian's one was really romantic. And then I stood up to make my speech as of course I didn't have my dad or Nigel with me to do one for me. It was basically to remember all the people we lost and the loves we now make. I remember Brian then stood up afterwards and kissed me as he told me he was so proud of me. We danced all night together as we were now a family. Me, Brian and Nigel as one.

Now I've moved into Brian's house and am now expecting our second child. Queen are currently making another album and they're having the time of their lives. I never thought I would be this happy ever in my life. I still miss my parents, my boss Nigel and Roxy every single day, but if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be where I am today. Happy. In love. Not alone.
