It's Mari's senior year and she has big plans.

2. Become Dance Team Captain over Rebecca.

This past year has been one of the hardest years I've even been through. Since the day Giovanni died everything has been pretty shitty. Vienna is big pregnant with my nephew Jionni and she is due any minute now. She went back to Italy for a few months but she couldn't handle staying where her and Gio lived together so she came back and is now living with us. Milly has been in terrible shape since Ash. She hasn't been out of the house all summer, she's lost so much weight and her face is sunken in, she's pale and she doesn't sleep much so her eyes are always bloodshot and has dark bags under them. The only reason Vienna isn't quite as bad as Milly is because she has Jionni to think about. Milly however doesn't have anything left of Ash. It breaks my heart to see her this way. I miss the old Milly but I don't think she'll be coming back.
"Mari! Are you coming or what!?" My thoughts are interrupted by my best friend Lottie. We're currently at the beach with Jake, Giana, Grey, Chase, Drake, and Brezlyn.
"Yea I'm coming don't get your thong in a twist." I yell back to her. She flips me off and swims under water. I strip off my shorts and then my tank top follows.

"Jake! Grey! Stop checking out my sister or I'll put your nuts in a meat grinder!" Giana yells and slaps both boys on the back of the head. I smirk and continue to walk towards the water.
"Jake I swear to Christ I will end you if you don't stop staring at her." Giana says to Jake again. I realised that Jake has a crush on me throughout the summer. I try to ignore it because I don't want to ruin the friendship but it's kind of hard. I mean he's absolutely gorgeous and he's the sweetest ever but I don't know if I feel the same. I've been trying to figure it out all summer. School starts in a few days and I'm so ready. I have big plans for my senior year. I'm trying out for dance captain and I hope and pray that I get it instead of Rebecca. Last year I got pretty close to all the girls except Rebecca so hopefully they vote for me and not her.
"You ready for senior year girl!?" Lottie once again interrupts my thoughts.
"Hell yea I am. This is my year." I say back to her.
"I hope we get some hot new guys. I need some fresh dick." She says. I make a disgusted face.
"Ah! My virgin ears!" Yes I am a virgin. Yes I understand that no one would think I would be. Everyone thinks I'm such a slut because I have a nice body and because I flirt a lot but I've never had sex. I've never found the right person to give it to. Don't get me wrong multiple guys have tried and have gotten close, even without consent, but they never got far. Either after I say no they stop or they don't stop and I have to go all Mafia on their ass. I've never told Giana or Giovanni because obviously they would kill them without a second thought.
"I still can't believe you're a virgin." Lottie says.
"You're a virgin!?" Jake exclaimed.
"Uh... Ya.." I say confused as to why it's such a big deal. Suddenly his face breaks out in a huge smile.
"Dude why are you smiling like that? It's creepy." Lottie says to Jake. He doesn't answer he just shakes his head but continues to smile. Weird.
"So how's Milly doing?" Lottie asks softly. My heart clenched at the thought of my baby sister going through such heart ache. We all loved Ash but not even close to the way she did. I shake my head at Lottie.
"She's about the same. Not eating, not coming out of her room, not doing anything besides drinking herself to death." I say sadly. Lottie and Jake drop their heads in a depressed manner.
"I'm worried about her." I say to no one in particular.
"We all are. She'll never be the way she used to be." Giana says lowly and almost mad. I know Giana still blames herself for everything that happened but no one else does. No matter how upset and depressed Milly is she never blamed Gi. She knew that Gi was only protecting us.
I miss Giovanni like crazy. He was like our rock, he held Giana together and was always the one that kept a level head compared to Giana's damn temper.
Luca and Pauly went back to Italy to stand in place of boss until either Giana takes it or she gives the title to someone else. Chase was pretty pumped Luca left. I'm not sure what GiGi is going to do honestly. I mean I can totally see her and Chase running the Mafia and being a badass couple but I don't think she really wants to.
"What about Vienna? How's she doing?" Grey asks.
"She's doing ok considering she lost the guy she has been in love with since she was 12 and the father of her unborn child. She wanted to come but she can kind of hardly walk. Jionni is going to be fucking huge." Giana says. The thought of a baby, a new family member coming in to this world is pretty amazing. I'm very excited to meet my nephew.
"I bet he looks just like Gio." I say smiling. Giana smiles back but I see tears gather in her eyes. Chase wraps his big arms around her waist and rubs slow circles on her skin. He whispers soft soothing words to her calming her down. Man I wish I had something like that.
"So. Are you ready to go to school next week?" Jake changes the subject. His eyes directed towards me. I smirk.
"Oh I'm so fucking ready. I'm going to be The Queen of Rockwood. Get ready." I send him a wink and dive under water. This year is my year.
