"I guess I deserved that."

I stare in shockat Chase's bleeding nose for a moment before moving my eyes back to Mr. Sexy Giant. His face is red with anger and his jaw is clenched along with his fist. I see him move towards Chase again and I decide to step in between them. I put my hands on Cole's chest and push him lightly. His eyes glare into my own but he takes a small step back anyways.

"Come on now boys. Is violence really necessary?" I say looking between Chase and Cole. My eyes settle on Cole and I give him my best flirty look trying to calm him down. I run my hand down his chest slowly.

"Why don't we put the fists away and talk like civilized people." I say to them. Chase snorts out a laugh making Cole's lips turn up in a smirk trying to stop from laughing.

"Is this your girlfriend Chase?" Cole asks Chase.

"My girlfriend's sister actually."

"Well obviously she hasn't been around you enough to know Martinez men aren't civilized." Chase bursts out laughing and so does Cole. I glare at both of them and cross my arms over my chest in irritation.

"You know what fine. Go ahead and beat the shit out of each other see if I care. You can explain to Giana why and how you got into a fight with your long lost brother that you neglected to tell her about." I say inspecting my nails. Chase immediately stops laughing while Cole just laughs harder. He bends over with his hands on his knees laughing so hard. Chase glares at him while I can't stop my lips from turning up. Cole's laughing dies down a bit and he puts an arm around me bringing me close to his body. He leans his face near mine cheek to cheek.

"Is my dear brother here afraid of your sister?" He says with a chuckle. I smrik.

"He is but with good reason. Us Italian women are a bit wild." Cole's eyes light up with amusement.

"An Italian! Chase you got yourself an Italian? Well no wonder your terrified of her." He laughs again at Chase's expense.

"Yeah especially because her hormo...."

"OK Mari I think that's enough sharing for now." Chase cuts me off. I scrunch my eyes in confusion. Does he not want his brother to know that Gi is pregnant?

"Mari?" I turn my head to see Beck standing there looking irritated and scared?

"What the hell are you doing here?" He hisses at me. I open my mouth to speak when I'm cut off.

"Well well well. Who do we have here Cole?" An older man with a cigar hanging out of his mouth says looking at me like I'm his prey. Cole immediately tensed and took his arm off me. Beck continued to stare at me.

"Quite a beauty isn't she Beck? I can see why your so caught up in her." The old man says while sending me a smirk that made my skin crawl. Chase moves and stands in front of me blocking him from my view. I breath a sigh of relief.

"Woah calm down guard dog. Just complimenting a beautiful woman when I see one. No need to get defensive. Come on Cole we have business to attend to." I head the old man say before walking away. Cole and Chase have a silent stare down before Cole walks off without a word. I'm busy watching his retreating body when someone grabs my upper arm forcefully.

"What the fuck are you doing here Mari!? Do you know how dangerous it is here?" Beck says harshly.

"Uhh. Imma go now. I see you two have a lot to workout sooo... peace.." Chase says awkwardly before basically sprinting down the hall and out the door. I roll my eyes. Of course that asshole would leave me here alone to fend for myself.

"Listen Beck it's not like I knew you would be here obviously you never told me what it is you do." I say accusingly holding his glare against my own.

"I didn't want to get you involved Mariana! Which you are now!" He is obviously very angry.

"I can take care of myself Beckett! I don't need you to "look after me" or what the fuck it is your trying to do ok?"

"You don't understand how these guys work M ok? They're bad people and I'm at the bottom of the food chain with them I can't protect you." He says softly looking deep in my eyes. My heart flutters and my face softens.

"Beck I grew up around bad people all the time I know how they work and I'll be fine really. You don't need to worry about me." He let's go of my arm and turns away from me. He runs his hands down his face looking very stressed out. He spins around with a now blank face. My heart rate speeds up because I've see this face before when he kick me out of his house.

"I think we should stop hanging out with each other." There it is. I glare at him.

"Are you serious right now Beck? I told you I can take care of myself you don't need to worry about me."

"I don't want to hang out with you anymore Mari. You're a snobby bitch that can't mind her own business. Let's just stay away from each other from now on ok?" What the fuck? He went from being worried about me to calling me a snobby bitch? Are you fucking kidding me!?

I let out a humorless laugh.

"Fuck you Beck." I spit at him and spin on my heel walking away. What an asshole! I mean who the hell does he think he is? He keeps going back and forth leading me on and then treating me like shit? I'm so blinded by anger I don't think I just act. And this act was one of the worst things I've ever done.

I stomp back to the main area and see Chase, Lottie and Jake all standing around talking. I walk fiercely up to Jake. I grab ahold of his jacket and smash my lips on his. I didn't think about the consequences my actions would have nor did I see the face of my best friend when I kiss Jake for the most selfish reason. Jake responds quickly pulling me close and kissing me hard. I pull away after a minute with a triumphant smirk settled on my face. I turn around and lock eyes with Beck sending him a wicked grin.

It doesn't hit me until later that night what I had done. I had just used one of my best friends feelings for me for my own personal gain. I wanted to hurt Beck and I used Jake to do so. I really am the worst kind of bitch.
