Robin cuddled his wife waiting for the doctor to return with some sort of news about what had happened; the Dutchman closed his eyes as he tried to shake the horrible thoughts about losing their baby.

"Robin... what if we've lost her?" Elena asked quietly as tears trailed down her face, she didn't know how this would affect their marriage if she were to lose their daughter.

It truly scared Elena that they were in this situation and a part of her did worry that Robin would hate her for losing their baby; she could barely stomach the idea herself right now.

Wiping away her tears and Robin smiled at her softly pressing a small kiss to her lips; he had a feeling that his mother had said some horrible things to her before this had happened.

It didn't take a genius to figure out why José Ras had corned Elena alone and it really didn't help that she had admitted to Robert that she had considered just leaving Elena alone when she had started to bleed out.

Lilly and Kiki had overheard and given their mother an earful about being so cruel to Elena for no reason; they couldn't believe that José Ras wasn't letting this go and they wished that she would just let their brother be happy.

"Then we'll try again when the time is right," Robin murmured making Elena smile at him softly before Allison walked into the private hospital room with a nervous smile on her face.

Allison knew that there could be a lot of things wrong and didn't want to frighten her daughter with what could be wrong; she was sure that when the test results came back that everything would be just fine.

But no matter what happened, Allison was determined to be there for her daughter and she knew that there was no way that she was going to allow her to think this was her fault.

"There are a lot of people in the waiting room, they want to know if you both are alright," Allison said making Robin sigh realising that his team-mates had gathered to make sure that the couple were okay.

Ryan and Stacy had been driving past the house when the ambulance had arrived to take Elena to hospital; the couple had pulled over in concern and had just about managed to find out from Robin what was going on.

They had probably called everyone when the ambulance had left and Robin didn't want everyone spending the night in the waiting room since he doubted that Elena would be allowed home that night.

"Tell them I'll call them when we know what's happening, it's getting late and it's not fair for them to sit around waiting," Robin stated softly trying to comfort his wife, he didn't want them all hovering around if they received bad news.

Allison nodded gently watching her daughter for a moment, she didn't know how Elena would take losing her unborn child; it wasn't something that Allison wanted her own daughter to suffer through after she had suffered the same.

Just as Allison was leaving the room their midwife, Jessica, entered the room and smiled softly at the couple as she held Elena's medical chart; she stopped at the edge of the bed, making the couple stare at her worried.

"The baby's fine... however I am going to recommend that you are put on bed rest for at least two weeks," Jessica explained making Robin and Elena sigh relieved at the news as long as their daughter was okay, that was all that mattered.

"You have pre-eclampsia... this means that your blood pressure is quite high, though with everything that has happened the last few weeks that is understandable," Jessica explained making Robin nod hugging Elena close, he was just glad that everything was going to be okay.

"Robin... for the millionth time, I am fine," Elena grumbled glaring at him annoyed, she knew that he meant well but she was growing tired of his constant hovering about; she had hoped with Nemanja and Roxanne here that he would relax a little.
