Elena and Robin couldn't believe that the last time that they had been to Rosso Restaurant had been for the welcoming party that had been thrown, four months ago when Robin had signed for the club.

Robin helped his wife from the car as the two of them ignored the media frenzy that surrounded them; Elena was entering her twenty-fifth week pregnancy and the press wouldn't leave them alone wanting to know everything about the baby that they were going to have.

Robin wrapped an arm around Elena as he led her into the restaurant where Rebecca greeted the couple with a smile; the Dutchman glared at the media that stood outside the door making Elena roll her eyes at him.

"You look amazing," Rebecca gushed smiling at Elena, the mustard yellow maternity double layer skater dress looked amazing on her and she made a mental note to ask her where she got the black lace up heeled shoes from.

Elena thanked her before she turned her attention to Robin, he was tense and she doubted that he would relax until they were home again; the children were with a babysitter for the evening while the adults enjoyed themselves.

"Watch out for Wayne... he's got mistletoe," Rebecca warned as they turned to see Wayne pestering Nani and Daniella, the Portuguese looked like he wanted to punch Wayne, while Daniella laughed amused at his antics and her boyfriend's expression.

Robin rolled his eyes as they watched Coleen attempt to take the mistletoe but didn't succeed as her husband pecked her lips before disappearing to annoy Nemanja and Roxanne.

"We'll keep that in mind," Elena said wondering how much Wayne had had to drink before she and Robin had arrived; Robin kept his arm around his wife, he didn't want to leave her alone in case something happened to her and he knew that he wanted her to be able to relax.

"Robin... you don't have to glue yourself to my side," Elena murmured making Robin roll his eyes as he watched her closely; he had no intention of leaving alone tonight.

Coleen raised an eyebrow at Elena as they watched Robin talk with Nemanja and Ryan about their next match; she could tell that something was up and she hoped that everything was okay with the couple.

"Something's bothering him and he won't tell me about it," Elena mumbled worried making Coleen offer her a reassuring smile, she had noticed that Robin seemed a little tense for the last couple of weeks but they had been through a lot before now.

"It's probably nothing," Coleen said spotting Wayne annoying some of his team-mates, Roxanne moved to join them since Wayne had left his wife alone while he annoyed everyone else.

Roxanne sat down with the other two, she sipped on her drink glad that they were all able to get together before the holidays; things were going to be so busy and she knew that it was going to be crazy.

"So who gave Wayne the mistletoe?" Roxanne asked watching Wayne try and sneak up on Robin and Nemanja with the mistletoe however the Serbian glared at him making Wayne sneak away to torment someone else.

Roxanne was a little glad that he wasn't annoying Nemanja, she could tell that her husband was tired and she guessed that training had been on him since Sir Alex wanted everyone to be ready for the holidays.

"I have no idea... he came home with it," Coleen said with a dreamy smile on her face, Elena and Roxanne rolled their eyes as they talked about their plans for Christmas; they could just imagine what their friend was imagining.

"So how are you?" Elena asked looking at Roxanne; the older brunette hadn't been feeling well the last few days and Elena was worried about her.

"I'm fine, how is Robin? He seemed out of it at training today," Roxanne asked concerned, the Dutchman had made some major slip ups while he had trained and in the end Sir Alex had kicked him out of training.

Roxanne was worried that the couple were facing more problems, things were just starting to settle down and now Robin was acting like this; she couldn't imagine what else could happen to them.

"I have no idea he's been like this all week and he won't tell me what is bothering him," Elena explained making Roxanne furrow her brow as looked at Robin, it was clear that there was something on his mind.

However before she could comment, Elena's mobile started to ring making the brunette furrow her brow as she recognised her mother's number on the screen; she wondered why she would be calling her now.

"Excuse me, it's my mother," Elena said concerned, she hadn't heard from her mother in weeks since she refused to divorce Robin and her parents were still upset.

Coleen looked at Roxanne who shrugged before they both headed off to find their husbands; the Scouser hoping to stop her husband from annoying people while Roxanne moved to speak with Nemanja.

"Mum, what's wrong?" Elena asked when she had found somewhere to answer her phone that was quiet; however the brunette's blood ran cold as her mother sobbed down the phone to her.

"Mum, what happened?" Elena said concerned spotting Robin approaching her, he frowned spotting the distressed look on his wife's face; he hurried to her side as she continued to talk on the phone.

"Mrs. Daniels... what's going on? Why are you calling from my mother's phone?" Elena said realising who was calling her wasn't her mother; she felt sick and she had no idea what was going on.

Robin suddenly realised that something had happened and it didn't take a genius to realise that it was something bad if one of her parent's neighbours were calling her.

Tears filled Elena's eyes as she listened to her childhood neighbour explain what had happened; Robin wrapped his arms around Elena as the tears started to fall.

"But they're okay right?" Elena asked praying that she hadn't lost her parents that this was all just a nightmare; Robin watched her closely as she closed her eyes and rested her head against his shoulder.

"Thank you Mrs. Daniels... I'll be there as soon as I can," Elena whispered before she disconnected the call, she took a deep breath as she tried to compose herself while Robin watched her concerned wondering what had happened.

"My parents were in a car crash," Elena explained her voice breaking as she spoke, Robin nodded as he hugged her close; he knew that he couldn't allow her to travel to London alone in a state like she was.

"We'll head to London now," Robin promised her as he tried to comfort his wife, he didn't want their unborn child being harmed by any un-necessary stress.

Elena looked at him gratefully as he quickly texted one of his team-mates that they were leaving before he led the brunette from the restaurant as quickly as he could.

Elena tried to wrap her head around the fact that she could lose her parents without having told them that she loved them.

Robin glanced at his wife; he felt guilty that he had torn her family apart and that Elena might lose both of her parents tonight.
