Soft pinks and warm oranges splashed across California skies. In the seclusion of Sebastian's rented house, the two of them were lounging in the living room, Sofia splayed across his lap while sketched away in one her many sketchbooks.

His fingers danced, drawing circles over any area of skin he found. He couldn't explain the need to be near her, to touch and to hold. Being on two different continents, away from her turned him into someone else.

"How was your mom's birthday?" All Sofia could feel was his hands all over his body and his mouth pressed against her ear.

Pulling her eyes away from the black and white page, she turned her head a bit to meet his eyes. He looked so handsome. His hair shifting in all different directions, a sleepy look in his eyes. "It was really nice. After dinner, the whole family headed back to my Tía Alba's place, the one I told you about? We danced until 2 A.M."

"Mami also asked about you," she quickly added with a small smile.

"Did she?"

Sofia nods. "Who is the handsome man on your Instagram?" She brought her voice a pitch lower, trying to mimic her mother."

"Handsome, huh." Sebastian grinned. "What did you say?"

"I said...he's a man that I really like spending time with. A man that knows how to make me smile." Sofia voice was slow as she spoke, leaning further into his embrace.

His eyes flew to her mouth, down to her chest and back to her eyes. She recognized the heat in eyes only because it matched her own. They didn't say a thing...their eyes doing the talking just before he leaned down to find her lips.

"I want you...I want you to be my girlfriend." Sebastian says in between each kiss, pulling back a little just to rush back in for more.

"I'd like to be your girlfriend," she whispered against his mouth, fighting the smile that was stretching across her own.
