character bios:

jeremy: invisibility. this was driven by how, prior to the squip, he wasn't really noticed by the school. also, disappearing from sight can be pretty helpful when you have anxiety. (even i'm jealous of that!)

michael: controls electricity. jeremy didn't know he had this power until michael beat him 11-0 in mario kart. afterwards, he explained that he hijacked the game with his power. this was also when jeremy revealed his power to michael. sometimes, when he's stressed, he'll lean against the wall and accidentally make the lights go out.

christine: telekinesis. one of her habits is to levitate any small objects around her (ex. pencils, books, small stuffed animals, michael's glasses) and make them orbit around her. it obviously gets on people's nerves occasionally. but it is an advantage when there's lots of things to move around during a play or musical.

rich: pyrotechnics (controls fire). something unique about his power is that it's entirely controlled by emotion (his being anger). this is very rare, and can be dangerous. to give an example, the fire at jake's house was caused by rich losing his temper and lashing out. fortunately, his friends have learned to pick up on his mood via his power.

jake: captain america's powers (strength, agility, speed, etc). this helped him gain popularity easily, seeing as he was the best student in gym class. over time, however, he realized that being the most popular isn't as important as having truly loyal friends (the squip squad)

brooke: controls plants. she has a thriving garden that everybody is envious of. even in the winter, she wears a sunflower in her hair. aside from this, brooke is the mediator of the group. she tries her hardest to make sure everybody is calm and happy (especially rich), and when all else fails, there's snacks.

chloe: controls people's decisions with her charm (like piper from heroes of olympus). she has used this power to get a date or two, but her main advantage from this power is convincing her teachers to give her more time to finish her homework.

jenna: mind-reading. the ability to see what everyone's thinking leads to some of the juiciest gossip, which she uses to try and get popular. this was how she befriended brooke and chloe, and they grew even tighter when they all revealed their powers. of course now that they knew how jenna found her gossip topics, they began to use her as a way to become more popular. this does give jenna a lot of stress, so she resorts to venting her feelings to christine.
