a/n: this isn't my own piece, it's a dialogue excerpt taken from the movie lost in translation (2003), and has been used in a few songs, including rock + roll by eden, and chemistry by lund. (at least as far as i'm concerned.)
the first time i heard it, i felt such a connection to every word—it was almost as if the whole dialogue was describing me.
