chapter 7

Lily turned on her music starting with "Animal" by Neon Trees. Dancing to the music she picked out a pastel pink skirt and a white shirt with her black leather jacket Xavier gave her. Blaring her music she got in the shower and got clean and shaved her legs. Her and Xavier have been getting closer, like they've been acting more like a couple rather than just friends. He's been holding her hand more often and she's ok with it, now that Derek has moved away she's not constantly looking over her shoulder. She's still afraid of men but she's getting better. It's been a few months since she left Derek. He was extremely abusive to her whenever they were together. No one knew she was being verbally abused by her boyfriend because at school they were the perfect couple. Derek would hold her hand or her waist and kiss her head, but as soon as school was over he would call her names, call her worthless mostly. She believed him, she still believes she's worthless but she doesn't voice her thoughts because she knows Xavier would tell her she's not. She didn't realize how highly Xavier thought of her, if he had the chance he would treat her like a queen. He doesn't know she was abused but he always got bad vibes from Derek. He knew something was up he just couldn't get Lily to talk about her relationship with Derek. She was too scared to talk about it, she didn't want to know what Derek would do if she told someone. Derek didn't like Xavier and Xavier didn't like him. Derek didn't like how close Xavier was to Lily.
Shaking away the memories that has haunted her for months she finished up her shower, got out and got dressed for the day. She headed downstairs and found Xavier taking a nap on the couch. Guess I was in there longer than I thought, she thought. She walked over to Xavier admiring how adorable he was when he slept. He looked so calm, so peaceful, he normally looked angry but when he was sleeping he looked happy. She wondered what he was dreaming about. "Xavier, I'm ready to go," she said shaking him slightly. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He took a moment to appreciate how cute she looked. He really wanted to kiss her but he didn't, he didn't know how she would react. The song "Kiss the Girl" popped in his head and he chuckled at the thought. She made him watch too many Disney movies. He just couldn't say no to her, no matter what. No matter how ridiculous it was, how crazy it was, he just couldn't say no to her puppy eyes. He wanted to date her so badly, he knew he didn't deserve her, he was apart of a biker gang for crying out loud, but he loves her. "Hello? Xavier?" Lily called waving her hand in front of his face. He grabbed her hand and led her to his bike. She loved his bike, it was deep red in color, she loved how free she felt on his bike, she understood why he loved it so much. The freedom of riding on a bike, the wind blowing through her hair. She pulled her hair into a ponytail so it wouldn't look super crazy when she got off the bike. He handed her helmet to her, she ride his bike so much she had her own designated helmet. It was the same color as the bike whereas Xavier's was just black. Xavier has to help her on the bike or else she falls, even though she's been on it a million times. After helping her onto the bike he got on in front of her and she immediately grabbed onto him. He loved how close she sat. He could feel her pressed against his back. He started the bike and heading to the mall so they could go window shopping, then they would go to the cliff, the two places she loved the most. He was planning on asking her to be his old lady today. He was nervous, extremely nervous but he didn't show it.
