Chapter 16

Auburn’s POV

I was talking to Noah one second, crying another and in an unbearable pain.  I faintly hear Noah in the background but I can’t really make out what he was saying. I heard someone else scream and I realized that it was Kyle. Why was I going through what he was though? I don’t understand anything I try and turn my head but I couldn’t without hurting my back again but I hear Noah crying somewhat in the background I try to stop screaming and I do then I hear the pack doctor and I can’t believe it.

“You can only save one of them and you have to choose.”

“There has to be another antidote somewhere.” Noah asked quietly.

“There is but it is about a 10 hour trip from here.” Eric said.

“Where is it?”

“It’s in Saint Paul, Minnesota.”

“What does it look like?”

“It is a small flower with purple and blue leaves.”

“How many do you need?”

“5 flowers”

“Alright I’ll be back by tonight about midnight watch over my baby girl for me Eric no one is to come in and see her.” Noah said I was sad that he was leaving me but he needs to go get the flowers.

“I will Alpha.”

He leaned down and kissed my forehead. 

“I love you Auburn you are not going to leave I refuse it.” He said to me with determination in his voice.

“I love you too Noah” I responded softly. “Be careful.”

“I will. I’ll see you later.”

With that he kissed my forehead again and left the room prepared to go on his run. He turned around one more time. Then left the room I tried to look out of the window but it didn’t work I heard a howl and new that it was Noah.

“Goodbye Noah I love you.” Was the last thing I said and then I fell asleep.

I wake up to someone breathing very heavy I knew that it wasn’t in my room but outside of my room in the hall.

“Hello? Who’s there?” I said

“Auburn!”

“Hello. Noah is that you!?”

“Yes it is I’m so sorry. I love you.”

“I love you too! Noah what’s going on?”

Silence.

“Noah!”

Silence once again he can’t die I won’t let him. I feel him starting to drift away from me. I try to get out of the bed but I fell so I just crawled to the door and opened it I used my scences to find him and I got to the doctors’ office that was down the hall I opened the door to see Noah, my Noah laying down on the bed with a huge cut in the middle of his chest no, no, no this can’t be happening I won’t let him die!

“What happened to him?” I asked Eric.

“We don’t know exactly but all we know is that he got the flowers and that he was attacked by another werewolf but we might be able to save him because it looks as if he was just attacked about 10 minutes ago.”
