Breaking the Ice Part 6: Rescue Phase 2

*inhales* I LIVED!!! Whew boy, lemme tell you: this past week has thus far SUCKED! So...many...tests! My brain is legit fried. :(

Buuuuut on the bright side, you guys get an early update of this story! I needed to celebrate surviving this week and what better way then torturing--I mean entertaining you guys with a new chapter! :D

So, without further ado, let's begin!

Getting to the hidden warehouse was fairly simple. Getting into said warehouse was slightly tricky, but Jay managed to spot an old ventilation shaft and they were able to enter the building. Cole made sure to call Sensei and make sure to tell him what they were doing before they entered. Sensei wished them luck and warned them to be cautious, telling them that he'd fly the Bounty as close to the warehouse as possible to make picking them up easier.

"Okay, we're in," Jay whispered to his friends once they were all inside and out of the ventilation system. "Now what?"

"Stealth mode," Cole whispered back, pressing his back flat against the wall and peering around the corner. "Try and see if we can find where Zane might be kept and see if he's here. Keep close, and keep quiet."

Once he was certain that the hallway was clear, he motioned to Jay and Kai. The three ninja quietly tiptoed down the hallway, occasionally pausing to peer through a window or door and see if Zane was in one of them. Twice, people would come from around the corner and the ninja would have to hide. Thankfully, none of the people saw them and once they had passed, the ninja would continue on.

Peering through the small window of a door, Jay whispered to the others, "Looks like some sort of security room. There's two thugs inside, both are Hypnobrai."

Cole took in the information and quickly formulated a plan. "Okay, I'm going to bust open the door. Jay, I need you to shock them before they have time to sound the alarm. If they're not unconscious by then, Kai'll have to knock them out. Got it?"

Jay and Kai nodded and the plan was quickly put into action. The two Hypnobrai had no idea what hit them. One minute, they were sitting in chairs, watching the security feed bored out of their minds. The next, the door burst open and they were electrocuted into unconsciousness.

"Move, move!" Cole ordered. He and Kai quickly took up defensive positions near the door while Jay quickly made his way to the computers.

"See Zane yet?" Kai asked after a few seconds.

Jay shook his head, his fingers flying over the controls as he looked through all of the different video feeds. "Nope, nope, nada, not there...there!" he suddenly exclaimed, pointing at a screen. "He's here!"

"Where?!" Cole asked as he and Kai turned around to look at the screen.

Jay tapped at a screen labeled 'B3'. The black-and-white video feed showed Zane chained to a wall near something that glowed an ominous white in the dark. In front of Zane was a tall man who was almost impossible to pick out from the darkness of the room. The only reason Cole saw him was because of how the man's eyes were glowing a ghastly white.

Kai's eyes abruptly flashed red and his hands burst into flames. "Kai!" Cole hissed. "What's the big idea?! You're going to get us caught!"

"It's him..." Kai growled.

"Who?" Jay asked, concerned.

"It's that bastard that kidnapped me!"

Cole froze. "Are you sure?"

Kai nodded. "Positive," he snarled. "Ooooh, he better not put his hands on Zane or else!"

"What's he doing to Zane?" Jay wondered fretfully.
