*Kaitlyn’s POV*

Today is Saturday and the first day of school is Monday. That means school shopping today. Katie decided to let Layla and I go shopping alone. I went down stairs and saw that Layla was already up. Yesterday was a great day! Dad and Katie got taxes back. I got a new car and Layla got a laptop and Iphone. We both also got credit cards. So today I want to go to the mall. Then maybe go out to eat.

“Hey you ready to go school shopping? I was thinking we could go to the mall.”

“Hell yeah! I love the mall! Let’s go!” Layla yelled back at me practically jumping out of her seat. She wasted no time in running out the door and jumping in the car. I get in and get ready to start the car when my phone goes off. And of course it was Uriah.

*Uriah😍*

~ Hey Lovely. Whatcha doin today?

*Me*

~ Going to the mall to do some school shopping with Layla.

*Uriah😍*

~ Oh… :(

*Me*

~ Why? Whats up?

*Uriah😍*

~ Oh nothing just wanted to hang out today.

*Me*

~Oh sorry. We can spend the whole day together tomorrow. I just got a new car yesterday so I can come pick you up.

*Uriah😍*

~ Wth. XD you got a car before me! I hate you now!

I didn’t respond…. I know he didn’t mean it but I really don’t like that word. And anyway Layla was getting annoyed so I decided just to start driving. I won’t text or be on my phone at all while i’m driving. Especially with my new car. Once we get to the mall I pull out my phone.

5 Messages. Damn Uriah.

*Uriah😍*

~ Helllooo??

*Uriah😍*

~Kaitlyn??

*Uriah😍*

~Shit sorry! I forgot!!

*Uriah😍*

~Don’t be mad at me. You know I didn’t mean to say it.

*Uriah😍*

~Oh wait you are driving… Text me when you get to the mall.

*Me*

~You are fine. It’s just you know how I feel about that word.

*Uriah😍*

~I know. I’m sorry. I will leave you alone now so you can get back to your shopping.

*Me*

~Okay. Talk to you later. 😘

I put my phone away and we start walking.

“Okay where do you want to go first?” I say looking over at Layla.
