Behind Closed Doors

Chapter 24

I wake up and go straight downstairs to eat. As I am getting out stuff to make a bowl of cereal I hear the doorbell ring. I look over at Layla.

"That's all you dude." she says not taking her eyes off the tv. I walk over and open the door and there is no one there. Just as I go to shut the door I notice a small box on the porch with my name on it. I grab it and look around, hoping I could see whoever left it there. I don't see anyone so I just take the box inside and sit beside layla on the couch. "What's that?" she says grabbing to small box out of my hand.

"I don't know yet" I reply yanking it back. I carefully open the box to see a folded up piece of paper.

*Kaitlyn,
In this box is a map of our town. I have marked certain spots and to figure out who this is you will need to travel to each place on the map. Have fun <3*

I put the note down and grab out the map. I look at the different stars and wonder what the significance of each one is.

I look back into the box to see a beatiful diamond ring. It doesn't look like much more than a promise ring but it is still beautiful. I put the ring on, head up to my room to change, then I go outside. I look at the first place on the map. It looks like there is nothing there. Like the star was put there randomly. Still I start to walk towards it. When I finally reach the star I realize it was the place Uriah and I met for the first time. The day I crashed my skateboard. I don't think I could ever forget that day. I look up and notice a bright pink paper with my name on it hanging on the telephone pole. I open the paper and a rose falls out.

*congrats you have reached the first star. Can you think of any reason why you would be brought here? No? Okay. Lets head to our next star.*

I look at the map again and find the second star. At the beach. I am starting to think I already know who set this up. When I get to the beach I see a girl holding I big sign with my name on it. I walk up to her and she doesn't say anything. Just hands me another pink paper and another rose. I open the paper and read it.

*for this star I want you to look out across the water. What does it make you think of? Who does it make you think of?*

Well the first thing I think of is the way Uriahs eyes sparkled the first time we met. And the way they sparkle every time he looks at me. I open the map again to see that the third star and final star is Uriah's house. I get to his house and see a big box sitting on his porch with another pink paper and rose attached. I walk up and grab the paper.

*looks like you are almost done. One star away. Don't see another star on your map? Look in the box.*

I open the box and see another little pink paper with a series of numbers on it. I am guessing by how they are set up that its a location. I look up the numbers and the Killer Coffee shop shows up. I make my way to the coffee shop and see a pink paper hanging on the door.

*You have made it to the final star. Enter the cafe and find table number 13.*

I go in and see table 13 directly in front of a small stage. The table is the only one decorated with heart balloons, and more roses. I go over and sit at the table. I look around for another note and notice that there is no one else in the cafe. Then suddenly all the lights turn off and I hear soft music start to play. Then the spotlight on the stage turns on revealing a drum set with Panic! At The Disco's symbol on the front. I hear the door open behind me and turn around to see a tall figure standing in the doorway. His face covered. Then he looks up as he reaches in his pocket. Then music starts playing a little louder and I notice it is a Panic! song. I turn around to see the curtains moving on stage as if someone is behind them. My jaw drops as I watch Brandon Urie walk out from behind stage. I rub my eyes for a second thinking I am imagining things. Then when he starts singing I realize it is really him. What is going on??? Why is Brandon Urie singing for me?? After a few songs I notice that the mysterious person by the door is still standing there he starts to walk closer to me. When he finally gets close enough for me to see his face I notice it is Uriah. He sits down beside me and pulls out another rose.

"Kaitlyn? Will you..." he pauses and looks down for a second as if he is nervous. "Will you be my girlfriend." I don't say anything I just reach forward and wrap my arms around him.

"I can't believe you did all of this for me. Of course I will." he smiles before leaning forward and kissing me.
