I have to take stupid Remedial Goodness 101, in front of the boys, because of my 'bad behaviour'. Technically, I should be on the Isle but nobody knows that Vitani is my real mom and that she's still evil. I was only told I was adopted when I was seven. Uncle Pumbaa isn't as smart as he seems.

Margaret- you came home late last night penny

Me- I was out with the new kids

Ming- doing what

Me- don't tell anyone but we were stealing the wand

Margaret- that's freaking amazing!

Ming- did you do it?

Me- there was a force field and a siren
that's all I'm saying

"Penda, I'll confiscate your phone if you don't put it away." Fairy Godmother tells me.

"Fine." I roll my eyes.

Me- gtg see you after class

I put my phone away in my bag.

Fairy Godmother continues with the lesson. "If someone hands you a crying baby, do you, A, curse it? B, lock it in a tower? C, give it a bottle? Or D, carve out its heart?" I raise my hand in the air the same time Evie does. "Evie." Fairy Godmother points at her.

Evie drops her arm. "What was the second one?" I face palm myself.

"Oh, okay. Anyone else?" I decide to keep my hand low. I've lived in Auradon for years and I know every single corny and cheesy think there is. "Mal?"

Mal looks up from her drawing. "C, give it a bottle."

"Correct. Again." Fairy Godmother smiles at her.

"You are on fire, girl!" Carlos tells her.

"Just pick the one that doesn't sound like any fun." Mal looks at me.

"That's true." I yawn.

"Oh." Carlos looks away,

"That makes so much sense." Evie says quietly.

"Oh." Mal mimicks her friends. Jane walks past us with a squeak.

"Hi, Penda. I like your rings." Jane tries to smile. She's scared of me. I wonder why.

"Thanks, Jane." I smile sweetly at her.

"Oh. Hello, dear one." Fairy Godmother looks delighted to see her daughter.

"Hi. You need to sign off on early dismissal for the coronation." Jane gives her a pen and a clipboard.

"Everyone here remembers my daughter, Jane?" Fairy Godmother signs the early dismissal for the coronation.

"Mom, no!" Jane looks embarrassed.

"It's okay." Fairy Godmother hands her the pen and the clipboard and she turns her around to face us. "Jane, this is everyone. You know Penda over there." I wave.

"Hi. That's okay, don't mind me. As you were." Jane speed walks out of the classroom.

"Ahem. Let's continue." Fairy Godmother turns to the black board. "You find a vial of poison. Do you, A, put it in the king's wine? B, paint it on an apple? Or C, turn it over to the proper authorities?"

"Oh! Ooh...get off." Carlos says to Jay. I smile to myself.

Fairy Godmother points at Jay. "Jay."

"C. You turn it over to the proper authorities." Jay punches my shoulder. "Impressed?"

"By zero point zero one per cent." I blush.

"I was gonna say that." Carlos smacks him.

"But I said it first." Jay starts to fight with him. "Come here!"

"Ow!"

"Come on, who said it first? Who said it first?"

"Ow! Stop! Ah!"

Fairy Godmother taps her stick on her book-holding-podium-thing. "Boys. Boys! I am gonna encourage you to use that energy on the Tourney field."

"Oh, no. That's okay. Whatever that is, we'll...we'll pass." Carlos rejects.

I gasp and turn around. "You don't turn down Tourney! Tourney is amazing! It involves hurting people, winning, pizza and a trophy!" I squeal.

"Are you on it?" Jay asks.

"It's a sport for boys. I would do cheer, but you don't hit people in cheer. I mean would as in, I would do it on my own accord, but my friends are forcing me to because we ride together, we die together." I sigh. Margaret and Ming are so irritating.

"Would you kindly take them to the Tourney field after class, Penda?" Fairy Godmother asks. I nod. "Thank you."

"No sweat. Well, there will be sweat, but it's cool." I shrug. The bell rings.

"Move your ass!" I hear Margaret shout.

I turn around to see her in the doorway with Ming. "Since when did you become my mother?" I shout to her with a smirk.

"The day Ming looked like she was my goody-two shoes sister who loved my mum more than me!" Margaret smiles.

"You're starting to sound like Donkey from Shrek!" I shout to Margaret.

"Just shut up and get your ass here!" Margaret rolls her eyes.

"Fine, I'm coming!" I pack my things away and I walk up to my friends with the others. "Margaret, Ming, this is Mal, Jay, Evie and Carlos. Guys, this is Margaret and Ming." I smile at my best friends. "Jay and Carlos are trying out for Tourney."

"Cool. Let's go." Ming smiles. Mal and Evie walk another way as we walk towards the Tourney field.

"Crazy thing, girls. I met my mom last night." I look at Ming and Margaret. THEY know who my mom is along with Ben.

"How? She's dead, Penny." Ming places a hand on my shoulder.

"Minnie, I know what I saw. Jay and Carlos were there." I look at the boys.

"She's a really interesting woman-lion-thing." Carlos chuckles.

"That was the first time I met her as well." I smile.

"I wish we could meet her." Margaret sighs.

"You'll meet my parents soon. That's exciting." I giggle. "Don't give Uncle Pumbaa any bugs." We all laugh.

"Is your hair and eye colour natural?" Carlos asks me.

"Yes and no. I dyed my hair and the red is all natural." I roll my eyes. We arrive at the Tourney field. "Jay, Carlos, welcome to Tourney."
