Chapter Six - The Bloodline

Garret wakes up this morning before Kieran and Ceririan do, he does a similar routine to Kieran, brush teeth then gets ready, he puts on his school attire. Yesterday was weird as hell, Ceririan is here and Kieran has became slightly more distant. Glad I have to go to the school and check it or all this stuff will make me go mad. 

He walks down into the kitchen and has some toast with ham on the side, with a glass of milk to wash it down. Garret then goes to the front door and is about to leave, " Hey where are you going this early in the morning and with your school stuff on?" Kieran says rubbing one of his eyes and yawning. " Im the prefect remember Kieran? I gotta do stuff like this and check the school incase it has been left open or something" Kieran looks puzzled " Isn't that a Janitors job?" he turns around and looks at him " Yeah kinda but it's peaceful to walk the school's halls, so i don't mind it" Kieran shrugs again and walk tot he kitchen to get some breakfast, Garret leaves while he does that.

Garret does the same walk that Kieran done to get to his house, he enjoys the walk due to there being not alot of people up this early in the morning, all he heard was the birds and the occasional church bell that soothed his morning walk and took his mind of everything. He arrived at the school, St Deus it says, I can never remember why they named this school after a saint, I don't even know what he did.. he thinks off topic. Garret pushes through the doors, looks around and starts checking the exits to the school so that they are properly locked still. It doesn't take long, he is then just walking the corridors enjoying the silence of the school, when he notices a girl. a student? there is no way she is men't to be here. Garret walks to her maintaining a stern composure, he gets about half way to the girl before she screams something and starts to run down the corridor  "Hey, Im not going to hurt you, I just want to know why you are here in the school!" he says. Garrets instinct kicks in and he pursues her down the corridor but she breaks off and goes into the girls bathroom.

He stops and  wait's at the door, Maybe she is lost?, "Hmm, can you come outside?, you aren't even men't to be in the school right now.." he says hopeing that she listenings and comes out. he reply is a shout saying "Go away you pervert! i need the bathroom!", uhh great, Im stuck like this till she comes out but I can't just have her leave. Garret pulls out his school keys and locks the door, "ill leave it locked then until your done and want to come out" he says thinking that was the best option, he leaves the key in so he can open it easier.

A few moments later Garret hears a scream from the toilet, What! is she hurt?. he makes a quick twist and unlocks the door.

Garret bursts in because he thinks someone is injured, he just says " Who was that screaming?" then she lets Jariko go back into the pendant "nobody. now get away from me or my ani will hurt you"

He moves forward but Jariko get protective leaves the pendant and stars at garret in the eye "get away from her! dont you think about touching her! i know that your not human! now you heard her, ani will come and save her so in the mean time you have to go through me". Garret leans back and thinks " She has magic or something?" and asks " what is this? magic?"

Jariko just stars at him until Aiko lifts her arm and yet again hes in pain "uh...i...i was born with a power thing to control shadow seekers at my own will. i guess its like magic" she quietly says trying to curl up to the wall. "Shadow Seekers? You have natural powers, I know someone like that..." says Garret.

" I can do something else...but i dont know how to do it....i want my ani!" and she starts crying again

Garret rubs the back of his head " Hey, don't cry please," looking as though he made her cry " Where do you think your Ani is, also what is a Ani?"
