Little Kitty-Brother, frightened of everything,
You've been saved from your past,
So why fear us, who have saved you?
Little Kitty-Brother, faster than a rocket, running away.
Little Kitty-Brother, scratching furniture,
From chairs and couches to doorways and stairways,
Why scratch all the furniture?
Little Kitty-Brother, scratching away, the furniture tears.
Little Kitty-Brother, echoing your meows,
Screams reaching far into the night,
Why meow so loudly?
Little Kitty-Brother, the stars call back.
Little Kitty-Brother, can you understand my love in words?
I have fed you, pet you, loved you,
How much more must I give?
Little Kitty-Brother, black and white as a starry night.
Little Kitty-Brother, strong and free,
No past can bind you now,
Why not hold your head high?
Little Kitty-Brother, you are freer than you know.
Little Kitty-Brother, who none can rival,
Your heart is braver than all,
So won't you be proud?
Little Kitty-Brother, let your green eyes glow.
