Chrom's Army Camp
I woke up and yawned. I thought about getting up but a pair of arms around my chest quickly stopped any way of doing so. It's not like Lucina is super strong or something along the lines it's just that I don't want to wake her up, especially since she seems to finally sleep in peace and not waking up before me like always.
I gently stroked her head and enjoy her warm body against my own. A small smile gracing her lips as I held her back lying there and waiting for her to wake up. It didn't actually take that long for her to wake up and open her eyes to let me see her beautiful blue irises with Exalt's mark. I kissed the top of her head, however, still not really used to this.
Lucina : Oh my... I must have overslept, didn't I?
(Y/N) : Don't worry, just woke up a few minutes ago anyway.
Lucina : I'm sure you'd prefer to already be up.
(Y/N) : To say the truth I enjoy lying here with you more and seeing you smile while hugging me even more. However, I'm pretty sure that your dad would like us to be up soon.
We crawled out from under the covers and started putting on our armors and taking our weapons. We had a few small talks when changing and I sneaked a peak at her body many times. She's my wife and while we did got wed we didn't even have a time to do anything afterwards. She must have felt my gaze as she glanced back at me.
Lucina : Enjoying the view~?
(Y/N) : More than you think...
We finished dressing and walked outside. We saw most people barely getting up or those few with military past already on their legs, stretched and ready for action. Lucina elblowed my arm and pointed at the small training arena. I smirked and nodded as we stepped into the circle. I set my helmet aside and took a stance with shielding my body and pointing my spear forward.
She went in for a quick stab, trying to figure out my defence but I simple change her attack's direction with the tip of my spear. As she came in for another attack I quickly lifted my shield and kicked her back making her stumble but not fall. She smirked as we started to circle each other. I saw people gathering around the training arena.
I took a step forward and did an overhead spear swing causing her to take another step back. She used the momentum to jump towards me but I expected that I once again step forward while shielding myself and pushing the shield with my shoulder. She was sent back and tumble to the ground as I stood above her with a smirk.
(Y/N) : Still a lot of training to do, my love.
Lucina : Says a trained soldier.
(Y/N) : Life is not always fair. You have to use everything to your advantage, survival is very important in battle.
Lucina : I'll remember it for another round.
Chrom : (Y/N)! Lucina! Ah, you've gathered quite a crowd!
Lucina : We're sorry, father.
Chrom : Oh, that was no problem! Next time we should all train together! For now, we should gather our belongings and continue, we should be around city by middday!
