Laurent and Alana were on her couch watching a movie. They had finished eating breakfast no more than and hour ago, and they were both full and slumped. The movie they were watching was called The Lazarus Effect, and Laurent was focusing on it so much. He had learned that it was about a woman who was injected with a serum that turns her into a a monster and she kills everyone that worked in her lab. The fascinating part about it was that she was doing most of it with her mind. Laurent found this amusing, given the fact that everyone stayed with her instead of leaving.

Alana, on the other hand, was barely focused on the movie. She was lying on her stomach with her head in Laurent's lap as he played with her hair. His other hand was on her waist, keeping her close to him. She was basically falling asleep the more the movie went on, but she kept herself awake.

"Baby," he said, tapping her softly. She hummed in response, causing him to chuckle a bit. "Get up, I got to go to the bathroom."

She whined tiredly and she moved on to him a little more. Laurent sighed and he leaned his head back, letting out a groan.

"I'm going to pee myself if you stay here."

Alana groaned and she sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes gently. He got up and pressed a kiss to her forehead before going into her room. She sighed and she curled herself up into a ball, glancing at the TV screen. It was nice having Laurent with her. So far, it's been really peaceful and fun. He's only been there for almost a day, but it felt like he's been there for the longest time.

So many questions lingered in her mind, though. She still wanted to know more about him, more about his family. She didn't know why she wanted to know, but she just did. She decided to ask him when he came back from the bathroom.

She leaned back on the couch and she kicked her legs up on the arm of the couch, turning her head towards the TV. The movie they were watching was almost over, so she decided to change it, not really paying attention to it.

"No," Laurent whined as he came back into the living room. "Why you change it, I want to see how it end."

"I'm going to put on another one," she grinned as he lifted her legs, sitting in the spot they were in before. He laid them in his lap and he ran his hands over them slowly.

"Laurent?" She said, looking over at him. He looked over at her and he raised his eyebrows, waiting for her to speak.

"I have a question, but I don't know if you want to talk about it."

He frowned a little and he turned his body towards her slightly, resting his arm on the arm of the couch. "Why I won't want to talk about it?"

"It's about your family," she said quietly, sitting up a bit. "I just wanted to know a few things."

Laurent hesitated for a moment. He really didn't want to talk about his family. He wanted to forget about them completely, but he nodded anyways, giving her the okay to ask.

"Do you think they were bad people?" She asked, tilting her head a little bit.

"Yes," he answered dryly. "I do."

"What did they do to you?"

"Bad things," he muttered. "Things I don't want to say."

Alana nodded, playing with the hem of her shirt a little bit. "Do you think they would treat you the same of they saw you today?"

Laurent didn't say anything after that. She didn't know that they were dead, by his hands, and when she asked him that it kind of made him feel like shit. Although they were dead, he still loved them. Part of him regrets even doing anything to them, but the other part hopes that they rot in hell for everything they put him through.
