Tachi's Past

Tachi has 12 siblings, he is number 6. Kai, Dawn, Aki, Fairie, Nuik, Okiti, Sasha, Autum, Iris, Aani, Ishi, and Osana. They ranged from ages 20 to 4 at the time of their deaths. All 12 of  Tachi's siblings were light elementals except for Okiti. Both of his parents also were light elementals, his father Atlas and his mother Kiki. If you were wondering how he could possibly have so many siblings, there's your answer. Tachi seldom mentions any single one of his family members for truly unknown reasons.

From his first memories his father was constantly cheating on his mother, its more rare for a light elemental to be loyal than to have an affair.  He would even bring other women over to their house when Kiki was away. This lead his mother to heavily alcoholism, a common trait at home among some of his older siblings, especially Kai. His father was very quick to anger, you could not tell him he was wrong. He was a strong man with a vile attitude, not afraid to do things that put his family at risk.

Kiki: FUCK YOU ATLAS!
Atlas: Come on babe it was barley anything.
Kiki: N-NO I'M DONE WITH YOU
Atlas: Don't be such an ungrateful bitch. No one else would put up with all your shit.
Kiki: Then I'll do it on my own.
Atlas: *he shoves her against the wall* I dare you to say that again.
Kai: *grabs Tachi by the hair and pulls him out of the kitchen*
Tachi: GnH! *he squirms*
Kai: *walks in his room and shut the door*
Tachi: ....but what about mom
Kai: She should have just been quiet *literally chugs on a suspicious bottle*
Tachi: Kai
Kai: oh. *hands the bottle to Tachi* there.
Tachi: What no
Kai: Stop being a pansy.
*theres a thud against the wall*
Tachi: ......
Kai: SHUTTUP OUT THERE IM TRYIN TO READ.
Aki: YOU CAN'T READ DIPSHIT *from the other room*
Kai: PISS OFF SISTER KISSER
Tachi: *I hate both of them.*

Tachi had a severe lack of control over his power, they thought he was defective. He was beaten severely by his father on several occasions after accidentally breaking something, or unintentionally hurting one of his siblings. His father purposely singled out every thing that Tachi did just finding excuses to hit him till he couldn't walk.  Eventually he completely withheld all power, which wasn't an easy task. It would be extremely painful at times, thus leading to a searing lifelong pain in his chest that would stick with him, yet he wouldn't find it important enough to tell anyone.

Tachi: G---HGeh....*he tried desperately to stop his tears as he was kicked in the ribs across the floor*
Atlas: Stop crying you fucking wimp!
Tachi: I-im s-*He was kicked again harshly* GNEHh
Atlas: What did you tell them.
Tachi: I....I didn't s-say anything a-
Atlas: LIAR! *he picks him up by his shirt* I know I didn't raise a lying bitch.
Tachi: T-THEY JUST SAW!
Fairie: Father! *from the doorway*
Atlas: *he throws him into the wall* YOUR SO FUCKING PATHETIC!
Tachi: AGHNn!
Dawn: Father please stop! *beside her*
Atlas: *he stares at Tachi with clenched fists* you'll get what you deserve.
Atlas: And don't you dare help that shit.
Atlas: *he storms out slamming the door*
Dawn: .....Tachi
Tachi: j-just leave....m-me alone *wipes his eyes*
Aki: he's helpless *grabs Fairie by the ear and drags her away*

He was only eleven when Okiti came in contact with the Kikoku. He watched as she killed each one of them, the floor was stained red and her voice rang out as she hunted for him. That was the day he ran for his life, and led her straight to his cousins. He blames himself for the death of Latula's family. Nothing will change that.

They were both put into full housing guard school almost immediately afterwards, as Latula was already enrolled. Tachi never chose to go, but they kept him there. He was bullied for not using any of his power, for sometimes waking up shaking violently in a cold sweat. He rarely slept, but admitting he had bullies makes him feel weak. He acted like he didn't give two shits and they seemed to think he didn't after a while. So that's how he slid by.

Kid: You don't even deserve to be here dipshit.
Kid2: Do you know how many people actually work for it *throws a pencil at him*
Tachi: .....go fuck yourself.
Kid: Heh atleast we don't wake up screeeeaming for our mommy
Tachi: .......
Kid2: Noooo don't kill themmmmmm!
Kid: AHggg I'm to weak to help youu
Kid2: I bet he tripped over one of their arms
Tachi: ..........

At age seventeen he basically became an alcoholic. After one of his more rougher days he snuck out of the academy and it took off from there.  Due to the way it stopped pain, and how it could dull his mind and truly make him not give a shit. The only reason he wasn't kicked out was because of his circumstances. Tachi barley came to class regardless, and snuck out frequently. He wound up in all kinds of strange places, having to be logged back to the school.

For a short time he became heavily involved in a dangerous concoction of drugs he had obtained by wandering the streets.  It was like the alcohol, but better. He began to become an unpleasant person. Snappy and quick to anger.  It wasn't until he nearly overdosed and Latula beat the shit out of him that he stopped. Dealing with the entire withdraw himself.  He went by acting normal and being a typical perv for a few years.

Latula: YOU CANT DO THIS YOU IDIOT! *she smacks him across the face*
Latula: LOOK AT HOW PATHETIC YOU ARE.
Tachi: ME? LOOK AT YOURSELF. YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT HOW I MAKE YOU LOOK
Latula: AND YOU WERE PASSED OUT ON THE GROUND BARLEY BREATHING
Tachi: BETTER THAN BEING IN THIS HELL.
Latula: *she grabs him by his shirt collar and slams him into a wall* It's not my fucking fault my family is dead. It's yours. So you are going to listen to me.
Tachi: You......fucking bitch.
Latula: *she punches him across the face* YOU DONT HAVE THE RIGHT TO ESCAPE IT.
Latula: I WANT YOU TO TAKE IN EVERY LAST OUNCE OF MISERY YOU HAVE.
Tachi: ........
Latula: Now I'm getting rid of it all before you get kicked out.
Tachi: I wish I would so I could get away from you.

After months of remaining in the background the placement test came.  He broke the record to everyone's surprise, He knew he had secured a position as the Hyrule's guard. And he knew Latula had not. He had unintentionally done exactly what he hoped would never happen. He didn't want to be anyone's guard, and now he was going to be the most important one.

A few days afterwards Tachi nearly died. He awoke in the medical ward, bound to the cot. He attempted to kill himself. He did not succeed however, he had wished everything would just go away, for his life had become his worst nightmare. Afterwards he felt even more guilt. And because of his failure, a few months later he was the Hyrule's guard.

Tachi: *he looked around in a haze. Bright lights, bright everything*
Latula: .....Tach.
Tachi: *why is she here....*
Latula: I....didn't know.....you felt that way.
Tachi: . . . . .*wh-*
Tachi: .......*ahaha.....hah....that.*
Latula: ....Tachi I'm so......sorry...I was s-such a b-bitch
Tachi: *his throat feels like it's on fire*
Latula: .....I knew you didn't want it but....but not like this
Latula: damnit Tachi why didn't you just tell someone!!!!
Tachi: *Selfish......how fucking selfish.*
Tachi: *What was he doing....*

He put on his flirtatious facade and adapted to a life of taking orders and shutting the hell up. Concealing his ever growing nightmares and visions of the past. Okiti wasn't all he saw, not just his family's lifeless bodies, he would dream about things he had done, his father...., But the facade never died. Until it became a part of him and he forced himself to be that.

And it wasn't until he met Travis that he was actually, truly happy. And didn't dread the days that would come. Because each day with him was it's own success.
