A new job can always be intimidating, especially when you are required to work closely with celebrities.

I mean it's not like I'm being forced to tune guitars for Green Day or something, that would be traumatizing. No, instead I was one of the new crew members of the 5 Seconds Of Summer tour.

My job description stated that I would be working closely with Luke Hemmings and Michael Clifford to figure out the tunings on their guitars for each song so I could get them tuned before and during the show.

The massive stadium in front of me was very intimidating and the 'All-access' badge around my neck was too.

So, with my large duffel bag around my shoulder and my one comfort item, my guitar, in my hands, I took a large breath and I began the walk to my new job.

"Excuse me miss? May I see your badge?" The large, intimidating, security guard said as I approached the main doors.

I gave him a grim smile and used my empty hand to hold up my pass.

He nodded and stepped aside to let me through.

"Uh," I said, not entirely sure he would know, "do you know where I would take my bags? I'm new here, and I was told I would be traveling in a tour bus?" I bit my lip and watched him look me up and down.

"Yeah, the buses are out the back gate of this place. But if I were you i'd go see Vivian, she'll help you out, she's the tour coordinator," and with that the security guard ushered me though the doors and pointed me in the direction of Vivian.

A small, smiling lady with dark caramel skin, wearing a cute business-like dress, waved me over to her as soon as I caught her eye.

"Ms. Walker! I'm glad to see that you made it here safely, and on time! You're even early!" She set her small hands on my shoulders and I smiled awkwardly at her.

I practically loomed over her, my shoulders were about even with her neck. My blond hair, though tucked away in my favorite blue beanie, began to fall out and get in my face, and I had to maneuver around Vivian to move it.

"Yeah, I like to get here early so I can personally talk to the guitarists and get a feel for how they run things," I said, trying to act more professional than I actually was.

Though it was true I wanted to talk to the guitarists, I also wanted to walk around and figure out where I was going before everyone started running around and becoming chaotic. I didn't want to get left behind because I couldn't find my bus or something.

"Oh wonderful! That sounds terrific! I'll just show you to your bus so you can put your bags down and then I'll locate the band for you!" She gave me a lovely grin and gestured for me to follow her.

After walking for what seemed like forever, we finally emerged outside and she ushered me onto a bus.

The inside was very fancy, the walls were lined with nice red wallpaper and the floors were partially carpeted. There were six bunks in the back of the bus, each fairly big for one person, thank god.

There were already two of my new bunk mates lounging on the sofa when we entered. And unfortunately for them there had been a mix up.

"What do you mean you've been assigned to this bus? The band is supposed to get their own bus! Who in the HELL scheduled for you guys to be put o-" Vivian rambled angrily on and in the middle of her sentence and grappling for her cell phone, told me that I would stay here for a few nights while she figured out "what in the hell happened to good help these days,".

After she stormed out of the bus, I turned to the two boys who were staring at me intently.

Newcomers aren't always welcome, I guess.

"Hi. I'm, ah, um, I'm Kate. I am the new head of guitar maintenance and tuning, it's nice to meet you," I said, smiling politely and sticking my hand out to the now smirking guys.

One of the boys stood up and smiled back at me, placing his hand in mine and somehow reassuring me with one look, that I belonged and that I wasn't alone.

"Hi Kate, I'm Luke,"
