I walked back onto the bus, my lips pursed and my cheeks red.
I couldn't believe she would bribe me like that.
And she wanted "proof," ? Really? She was so immature.
"Hey, are you okay?" I saw luke and Michael staring at me as I walked back on.
I sighed.
"Yeah I'm fine, my sister was just being a pain," I said, waving my phone in the air like it was incriminating evidence.
"Ah, I see," Michael nodded, as if understanding.
I tried to smile through my pursed lips but I was so annoyed that I could only manage a twisted half smile.
"Yeah, Michael and I were wondering why you just ran out of the bus slurring profanities everywhere," Luke said with a grin.
I feel my cheeks go red as I made my way to the back.
"Sorry about that. I would say that I don't usually talk like that but it would be a lie," I laughed, feeling a bit better than before. Talking to someone who wasn't my sister got me in pleasanter moods.
I heard both of the two boys laughs from the room as I dug through my newly unpacked clothes.
I pulled out a Maroon skirt, cream knee highs and a matching Fall Out Boy tank top. This would do.
Not too nice but not to formal.
I stepped into the bathroom and changed quickly, checking my hair before I stepped out.
My hair was a wreck, like always, and like always I put a beanie on it to hide my mess of curly blonde hair.
I slapped on a small layer of makeup and made me way into the main room again, checking myself in the full length mirror.
Eh, it was good enough.
I shrugged at my reflection and turned around to face Luke and Michael.
It was five minutes till the party, and I didn't like being late.
"So?" I asked, looking at them. They were both looking at me with strange expressions on their faces. I may be pretty unobservant but I could tell when guys were impressed by me. Which I didn't really blame them for, they had only seen me wearing oversized hoodies and no makeup today. This was a pretty interesting change.
"Uh..." Luke's mouth opened but stupid boy mumbling came out and I checked my phone again for the time.
"We've got about 3 minutes until the party?" I said, trying to remind them.
"Oh! Dude I totally forgot about that!" Michael said, hopping up and dashing back into the bunks. I grinned and went to take his seat.
I had decided. I was not going to be completely awkward and unapproachable tonight.
This party was useless but it would make or break how fun this tour would be for me.
6 months with the same crew would become very uncomfortable if I didn't have any friends.
"So..." I trailed off, looking over to Luke.
He cleared his throat and set my guitar, which was still on his lap to the side.
"So... Um," he cringed and I tried to hold back a grin. At least I wasn't the only awkward one.
"Okay here, icebreaker, you like music, what kind of music do you like?" I said quickly, trying to get him to say at least more than two words.
And he did.
While we waited for Michael he rambled on about all his favorite bands. Turns out we both have pretty similar music tastes. So I have him permission to play music in the bunks before shows, because I obviously like the music too.
And then Michael returned and Luke went silent again.
As we walked to the party Michael talked quickly and excitedly about how Calum, the apparent bassist of 5sos, told him that someone invited multiple Victoria secret models to the party.
I laughed at that thought but I didn't completely disregard it.
Someone had once told me Brian May would be showing up to a after party show I was working and he actually did. Needless to say I practically passed out from shock.
When we finally arrived at the rec room I saw that it was a pretty large party. A lot of people showed up and I didn't know any of them.
Luke halfheartedly waved goodbye to me as he disappeared into the crowd of bodies.
I waved back and headed to the bar area.
I didn't know anyone, and that meant that I was going to drink as much as I needed to actually socialize.
I grinned at the guy handing out beers and he handed me one quickly.
I moved to the area of the room were everyone seemed to be dancing.
I gulped down my beer quickly and sent out a little prayer to the good times fairy to help me out tonight.
"Oh god, here I go," I said to myself.
