Chapter 2
Kylie POV
We walk together down the road. I'm holding Cassie's hand and she is giggling a lot.
Mom and dad seem very excited. Probably because they love helping people so much. They never deny giving a hand.
I can see the Dotter's house from here. It's huge, but I guess it would have to be in order to hold all those boys.
As we approach the driveway, I can see the boxes piled high. Only a few things are unpacked. A picnic table, a trampoline, and a ping-pong table.
Mrs. And Mr. Dotter wave excitedly from the garage, and walk down the sidewalk to greet us.
Mrs. Dotter embraces both of my parents, and so does Mr. Dotter. They seem like nice people.
She spots me and Cassie. She smiles and turns to us. "You must be Kylie! I've heard so much about you!" She exclaims.
Her husband nods. "The one and only!" He laughs.
I smile too. "That's me! Nice to meet you." I respond.
"Everyone sit down!" She gestures to the picnic table. She then turns to the house. "Boys!" She hollers. "Get out here!"
I laugh as seven boys follow each other out the door, scrambling to make it to the table first. Mrs. Dotter laughs as well.
"This is Kylie and Cassie!" The boys nod as if they knew who I was. Mrs. Dotter turns to my parents. "This is Mr. and Mrs. Hansen."
My mom grins. "Please, call us Kimberly and Carter!" She demands.
Mrs. Dotter turns to her sons. "That's Austin." She points at the son who has blond hair and green eyes. He smirks at me.
"This is Christopher." She points to the boy with the long brown hair and brown eyes.
"Hayden." The boy with the longer, brighter blond hair smiles at me. His hair would almost cover his brown eyes if he didn't brush it to the side.
"James." A boy with short brown hair with red tips waves at me. His eyes are green too.
"The one with the book is Michael." He glances up and waves at me. I wave back. He has black hair and glasses that intensify is green eyes.
"Shane." The boy with blond hair with blue and green tips winks at me. I give him a confused look and take a look at his eyes. One is blue, and one green. That explains the hair.
"Last but not least, Shawn." A dirty blond haired boy smiles at me. His eyes are bright blue, like mine almost.
As soon she finishes the introductions, Mrs. Dotter sets us all to a task.
"Michael, you watch Cassie. Shawn and Shane, you take the kitchen appliances in and work on those. James, do the bedrooms. Hayden, Chris, Austin, and Kylie, move everything else in." She announces, please with her choices of teams.
I glance at my team, and they all smile at me, except for Austin, who smirks again. "Wouldn't do that too much, Austin. It might get stuck that way." I retorted. Austin stopped and glared at me.
"Oooooooo." The rest of the guys went. I smiled.
Chris laughed, and beckoned everyone over. "Alright, how about Hayden and I lift all the heavy things, and you guys do the rest?" He asked.
I shook my head. "Why can't I do the heavy lifting?" I asked. Chris looked at me. "But your a girl." He answered.
I burst out laughing. "Fine. How bout this. If I beat you in a contest, then I get to do it. Deal?" Chris snickered, and took my hand. "Deal."
